Re: LA cop killing spree
As expected, there is no longer a countdown on the Christopher Dorner website. You guys are goofballs.

Re: LA cop killing spree
It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone this guy has cops going in all 4 directions, with legit drops pointing each way. He knows what he is doing at said as much in the manifesto. The guy is attempting to make fools of the LAPD by having them chase their tails and he's succeeding. He knows how to provoke their next move. At this point, he seems to be at least a few steps ahead of them. They are going to end up having to break normal strategy/protocol and think outside the box to get him.

Re: LA cop killing spree
It's amazing how little coverage this is getting. I'm kind of confused as to why. The media jumps at every chance to blow a story out of proportion but that hasn't really been the case here. I've seen some coverage but very light to what I'd expect. It's odd to me.
If I thought it was because the media didn't want to glamorize this guy to prevent future
vigilantes I'd give kudos, but that isn't the reason.

Re: LA cop killing spree
This is a story I would like to read more about and it seems difficult to find a lot of information. Maybe the authorities are so lost that they don't have much to feed the media with. On the other hand maybe the media has decided not to glorify the situation in an attempt to prevent further violence.

Re: LA cop killing spree
The lack of national media coverage on this absolutely blows my mind. It's amazing to me the stories that are shown on the news lately, and this one, appearing to be a huge issue, rarely or not at all even gets a mention.

Re: LA cop killing spree
I'm on my phone so I can't paste it but I guess the LAPD shot at someone today thinking it was dorner. Sounds like to me they really want to shut this dude up before more comes out.

Re: LA cop killing spree
There is now surveillance video of Dorner purchasing scuba equipment 2 days prior to the murders (Source: http://www.tmz.com/2013/02/11/lapd-m...rance-murders/).
It is also been rumored that spy drones are being used for the first time on US soil to target a US citizen (Dorner). Some media outlets are confirming that they are being used while others are denying that they are being used or saying that they can't reveal that information for tactical reasons.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/0...n_2669594.htmlChristopher Dorner Search: Should Drones Be Used To Locate The Fugitive?
With three people dead, innocent people shot accidentally, and a long, meandering manifesto published, a new wrinkle has emerged in the search for Christopher Dorner: Drones.
As President Obama, Congress and a host of lawyers and constitutional scholars work their way through the ongoing debate around the usage of drones in killing American citizens abroad, reports began circulating this week that the controversial unmanned aircrafts would be used to attempt to locate Christopher Dorner.
On Monday, Dorner was charged with the murder of a Riverside policeman. He was also charged with attempted murder for firing at three others, wounding one.
While the LAPD, for tactical reasons, has yet to confirm whether they are actually using drones, the potential usage of the devices in a manhunt on U.S. soil provides a great opportunity to look at just how far we're willing to go as a country in the name of law and order.
Never one to shy away from these kind of controversial topics, Kevin Eason tackles the discussion head on with the above cartoon. Check it out and share with us your opinions on Dorner and drones.
Some crazy stuff going on...

Re: LA cop killing spree
And to think that the main argument for people siding with gun control is that the amendment is outdated and we dont have to worry about our own attacking us

Re: LA cop killing spree
How is that the same? While I think the drone policy is too vague and should be amended, potentially using it against a guy running around killing cops and their families is hardly the government attacking us.
Also I think most people argue that guns would be relatively useless in protecting you from an impending drone attack."Any asshole can be a father, I want to be a champion." - The League

Re: LA cop killing spree
The media has absolutely taken a step in the right direction regarding ethics... Colombine was on the news 24/7 for an extended amount of time.. Barely heard anything about any of the recent shooters
