Re: The Implosion of the Los Angeles Lakers
Time to bump this thread. Lakers have managed to lose four of five in what may be the easiest stretch of games at the end of thier schedule. unless they find some magic powder, they will have a tough time hanging with Utah, espeically whe they play four games in five days including a road trip from LA to New Orleans to portland for a back to back.

Re: The Implosion of the Los Angeles Lakers
I agree that the Lakers are reaching desperation mode. But they have no stretch where they play 4 games in 5 days. They do have NOH, @POR back-to-back. The one thing that might help the Lakers is that they play some game against good teams at the end of the season at a point where those teams might have their playoff spots settled (and could rest their top players). But before they get there, they have to actually win some games and hope Utah blows something.

Re: The Implosion of the Los Angeles Lakers
i stand corrected, four games in six days and mostly at home. They play Memphis, the Clippers and New Orleans at the staples center on April 5, 7 and 9 respectively, Then play in Portland April 10. For a team that could not beat the Bucks, Washington, Phoenix or Golden State with an injured Steph Curry, that stretch does not look promising in either case. But I will root for them in any case..

Re: The Implosion of the Los Angeles Lakers
Two of these are not like the others; Golden State is 41-32 and are still a solid team without him, and Milwaukee is, like the Lakers, on the playoff bubble (don't say "but they play in the East!!" because the gap is not that large between the conferences.)
Washington has gotten plenty of quality wins here and there, including against OKC, and is 6-4 in their last 10."Who cares if you disagree? You are not me...who made you King of Anything?"

Re: The Implosion of the Los Angeles Lakers
So perhaps your are arguing that the lakers are more likely to win against Memphis, Clips, NO and the Blazers?
Milwaukee is the most beatable playoff team in the league, Golden State has the lamest recent record in the West playoff picture other than the Lakers themselves, and is far from a solid playoff team, especially since Boguts return. Washington has improved late season toa 6 -4 team, which is better than the Lakers 5 and 5 but they are team the Lakers ought to beat if they are going to be in the playoff race. We both know why you did not mention phoenix in your comments.
Memphis and the Clips are legitimate contenders to lose to the Cheat in the finals. These will be tough games. New Orleans, like the Wiz have had some quality wins, but should be beatable, and Portland is pretty good, and the lakers face them on one days rest. I see no reason to expect a better result, and some reasons to expect a worse result. I am just saying that the Lakers are going to have to step it up to keep it alive, and it looks less likely today than a week ago they will succeed. We are what we repeatedly do. Re: The Implosion of the Los Angeles Lakers
So Utah and the Lakers are tied with 8 games to go. Should make the end of the season interesting.

Re: The Implosion of the Los Angeles Lakers
A major factor could be teams with spots locked up resting starters, like the Spurs and Rockets.
