Re: Looks Like Noel Just Blew Out His Knee
Getting Noel anywhere after 3 would be a coup imo. Even if he spends most of his rookie year rehabbing, he'll be ready to go in 2014 when we're ready to take it to another level. He's going to have be eased in anyway.

Re: Looks Like Noel Just Blew Out His Knee
Exactly. Broken bones heal better because they come back stronger. Your body's scar tissue that it uses to replace the old original tissue is usually never quite as good, and, if it is, it takes a long, long time to get fully back. Your body also will limit your strength naturally in order to protect itself. Bones quickly come back, and stronger than ever.

Re: Looks Like Noel Just Blew Out His Knee
Noel wasn't that good where he'd be guaranteed a top 3 pick. His stock could plummet. Defensive players don't get drafted high.

Re: Looks Like Noel Just Blew Out His Knee
Still think he comes out. Lowest he goes is #5. If he's still on the board when the Cavs pick, I take him and hope for the best. The difference is that Oden had micro fracture surgery. Many athletes have fully recovered from ACL tears and it's one of the easier tears to recover from. Hell, if Noel's recovery takes 6-8 months, then theoretically he's ready for the start of the season. I don't think any team would rush him back that quick, but it's a possibility.
Noel is the best player in this draft and the best fit for this Cavs team. He has superstar potential. Even with the injury, you take that chance. We drafted Kyrie under somewhat similar circumstances, why not do it again?Last edited by Bob_The_Cat; 02-13-2013 at 10:18 PM.
