Yea and for me just because I'm enjoying the NBA right now, the more talent, the more stars, the more competition and the more legends being made, the better. I'll be able to tell people in the future that I saw Kobe, Duncan, Shaq, Lebron, etc etc play. Maybe I can talk about Jennings too, would be sweet.

And damn I wrote up this post just cuz I saw his stats and wanted to check where he stood historically... and just now on SportsCenter I see that they compare his stats from his first 9 games to MJ's first 9... I swear I didn't just feel like comparing em here because SC did it

Jennings is shooting 50% from three and averaging 24, 4 and 6. I don't see him really keeping up this blistering pace but it's hard not to like the guy.

I mean c'mon, the dude drives a Ford Edge for crying out loud!

It's more about what happens later in the season. When AI was a rookie, didn't he go on a surge of consecutive high scoring games late into the season? Didn't he have a 40-50 point game against the eventual champions, the Bulls?

The sample is still too small, right? I'll keep watching it, but maybe he continues to be incredible. We'll see. I want more stars in this league.

I don't want to have to dig the thread back up by I started a thread about how good he was when he was a junior in highschool and I said he was my second favorite player behind LeBron. Everybody said he was gonna be a bust. LOOKS WHOS RIGHT NOW SUCKAS!!!!!! Got to give me credit.

I too would like to see the Bucks have a nice star player... In a way, they're just like us.. Fans of the small market teams should stick together..

Hopefully the Bucks fans will not have to deal with the stuff that Cavs fans have had to deal with in terms of New York... But, if Jennings becomes an All Star caliber/winning/leader PG, I'm sure they'll get hit with the same stuff we get hit with.... Not as big of course, (due to LeBron's stardom)-- but a large degree I'm sure...

Just came accross this.

Jennings is averaging only 14 points on 29% FG shooting in the last four games. During this shooting slump he has taken 69 shots, but has only scored 56 total points.

Either the rest of the league caught up to him, he's in a little slump, or not having Andrew Bogut caught up to him. Or Michael Redd's return fucked him up.

How many guys in the NBA have scored 50+ points in their rookie year? How many of those guys have turned out to be anything but a stud?

Assuming health, that kid will do great things. He can score in a variety of ways, and that is key to longevity as a scorer in the NBA. He's not a huge guy either, so there will be periods where he's not getting to the rack easily and goes into a slump. Based on what I've seen of him, I'd be shocked if he doesn't string together a few 20 point games w/in the next 10 games or so.

He's terrific.
