While the Browns had a pretty easy schedule this year, next year will be tough, regardless of this season accomplishments. 8-8 seems realistic, there are some tough teams they play next year, NFC East is pretty good top to bottom.

I don't see this team making the playoffs with that schedule without adding a Dorsey, Ellis, Suggs or Haynesworth. We HAVE to add a huge name to our front 7 to help so we can gameplan to our strenghts, or we simply don't have the defense to compete. That schedule is deadly, just about every week.

Good news is if we make the playoffs with that schedule, we're legit.

We all thought this year's schedule would be brutal too. There's no guarantee that all these teams will be as good next year. You just never know in the NFL. It does look tough now but a lot of things could change before September.

Addition by subtraction...Grantham is no longer poisoning the minds of the D-Line, and they will play better by not listening to his instructions. Look for the Browns to run all over the Grantham-led D-line of the Dallas Cowboys in 2008, and look for Wade and Grantham in the unemployment line late 2008, early 2009, when they fail, yet again, to take a talented team beyond the 2nd round of the playoffs.

The Browns should have a good shot at winning the AFC North. I see the Bengals as the only other contender in the division. Steelers and Ravens are both on the decline. Browns should make the Wild Card round next year.

Browns - up and coming team, won 10 games. Looking to prove they are legit.
Steelers - winners of the division, easily the best team this past season.
Ravens - lot of holes, but had 14 wins two years ago.
Bengals - third in the division, looking to prove themselves as well.

And seven wins will win the division?

Steelers played a soft schedule last year. They are on the decline.

Ravens have no offense and an aging defense.

Bengals are a team of individuals and have no discipline.

Browns have the best shot of being a good team but their schedule will limit them.

We still have a long way to go to be better than the steelers, if it wasnt for Cribbs running back two kickoffs we would have been blow out both games.
