2016-2017 Around The NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kings want to restock the franchise, make Afflalo, Collison and McLemore available sportando.com/en/usa/nba/226…

MFW we're trying to get good by drafting but your owner is 1 2 3 STAUSKAS

I like this trade solely for the fact that this probably just set the market for a Carmelo Anthony trade. Now all NY can get for him is peanuts compared to what the Kings just got for Cousins....hopefully. :coffee:

They got a top center in his prime for peanut shells. I suppose we could get a past prime Melo with McCrae, Kevin Hart, Champ, and 2046 1st round.

Yeah, yeah I know it doesn't work, capologists. Just let me vent. :banghead:

Man, if the Pelicans can swing themselves some shooting by Thursday...things will certainly get interesting.

This was the market for DMC. I don't think it has anything to do with other players available. Jimmy Butler and PG13 will most likely fetch a better return even though DMC might be the better of the three.

Here's a completely contrarian view to the Kings' outcome:

The Kings lost their franchise player -- but got their franchise back. My column on the Cousins deal: bleacherreport.com/articles/26939…

We'll never get our franchise back if the owner is meddling idiot who refuse to sit by the sidelines and let the FO work itself even if they do badly. They can't be worse than him.

Maybe, but maybe not. I just don't think that Melo who is old and on the decline will get a better return value...especially since he has the No-Trade and the trade kicker. That make-up is just as big a mess as DMC is a headcase. lol

The Kings radio announcer explained the trade and damn it made so much sense.

He crushed boogie.

-Former/Active players went to management and complained they cannot play with Boogie. Players wanted out.

That line stood out the most.

-Boogie was there for 7 seasons and the team never amazed.

-Kings owner simply didn't want to commit 200 million to a player like Boogie.

That's what just I can remember from this morning, but there was more said. As a broadcaster he is satisfied of just getting what they got.
