2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Is it supposed to be?

I think an overwhelming majority of people that don't watch the NBA day in and day out would say that this Minnesota team, based on name alone, is easily better than last year's Utah team.

So when star players join up you get a good sense of how good they truly are.

Everyone who had Paul George as a top 10 player, take it back.

Its CLEAR that Westbrook is easily the better player. Just like it was when LBJ went to Miami he was better than Wade. Just like Minnesota now. Its clear Butler is better than KAT.

And unfortunately, when you watch the Warriors, its not clear. And thats because both guys are truly, legit top 5 players. Or close enough to it.

So like when people say Curry coildnt go to another team and carry it I...just think thats silly. You put him on Charlotte right now for Kemba Walker and they'd be a playoff team (you know, but for his injuries this year).

But point is, Durant and Curry got together and it wasn't like Wade and LeBron or like George and Westbrook now. They're both still MVP candidates.

I dont know how you beat it.

There's a guy for the Clippers named Tyrone Wallace? His nickname better be "Smoochie."

Warriors look like a pretty solid ballclub but need a solid playmaker to have a chance against the likes of the Clippers and Hornets.

Somebody like James Harden or Russell Westbrook.

KD scored 40 and hardly missed a shot, but didn’t have the impact that Curry has. We’ve seen it again and again and again and again. If Curry scores 40 on 14/18 shooting, Warriors are usually winning by 20+ against everyone.

It has ruined this league. Doesn't help that they are joined by two other top 20 players as well as a loaded bench.

So many good young players on Boston and Philly...depressing

That's what happens when your team is garbage for multiple years. You draft good, young players.
I know glad we got a title but these 2 teams are going to dominate real soon for a long time...more so Boston

So will the overrating of Philly ever stop?

They’re 19-20. They’re set up nicely for the future but not the “embiid and Simmons will take turns winning MVPs while they win 8 straight East titles” nonsense people were on earlier this season. I think Boston and Milwaukee are quite clearly ahead of them in terms of holy shit new team on the block

They have a loooong way to go. And they no longer get the benefit of picking too 3 every year so they may need to identify talent outside of those top 3 slots for once

But Okafor and Noel paired with that obscenely stupid trade with Boston proves they weren’t even that great at drafting in the top 3 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
