2017-2018 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The wolves are going to be sooo good. If i'm the wolves i'm looking to dump Wiggins while he's still perceived as having value. He brings nothing other than high volume scoring on mediocre efficiency. No playmaking, no defense, no rebounding. Both Towns and Butler sported 120 + o rating as the man on their teams. Both guys are superstar talents as far as i'm concerned. They just need to stack on some bigger wings with versatility and get shooting.

@Rich mentioned Beverly and Anderson. Both of those guys would help a lot with what they currently have.

Is Blake Griffin really that great? I would have doubts giving him a huge contract...Always seems to be injured and seems like a a-hole

This awards show is even worse than I thought it'd be :chuckle:

Hey, fuck that. Sign me up for a 36year old Korver instead.

Yea I know Minnesota is talking about keeping Rubio, but Id swap him out for Beverley in two seconds flat.

Dump Wiggins? The Butler trade allows him to play the 2 full time, and he's probably top 5 at that position when he plays it. He is going to have a crazy good season. If they manage to get Beverly a line up of Beverly/Wiggins/Butler/Shabazz??/KAT will be deadly in a year or so.

Wiggins has never been crazy good. Moving him to shooting guard doesn't magically make him good. Now if he gets his 3par up and improves on his three point shooting and finds others ways to contribute then yeah. If the team still somehow isn't very good, and he's not pulling his weight; then i think he's a lost cause.

I think he's meaning. Move butler to the 2 position

Yes it does. His production is much better playing at the 2 and the statistics back it up. Since his rookie season he has been out out of position at the 3 because he gives up 30-40 pounds against the average SF in the league. He can only beat 3s with quickness, not strength or height advantage. When he sparingly played the 2, he would dominate other SG's in the league because the average SG is around 6'4" and he is 6'8". He can shoot over them with ease and match them in athleticism and speed offensively and defensively. He is not physically weaker then the average SG like he is against the average SF and will absolutely feast playing the 2 this season.

The reason that Thibs made this move, IMO, was to increase Wiggins production by putting him at the 2 full time where he is a completely different player while filling the SF spot with an All Star. This is honestly a great move for Minny and a huge upgrade for them in 2 positions, SF and SG.

Butler has pretty much been a two his whole career. Never had problems rebounding, playmaking, ect.
