2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What are your thoughts on Lamar Jackson at the next level?

I'm intrigued.

Massive development and refinement needed in his ability to throw the football. I also greatly despise the program he comes from and the development he may not be getting to ready him.

But his talent is undeniable, and if he gets into a system that will immediately build to support his skill-set could have dynamic results.

He truly is Vick-esque with his feet, and I have never said that about anyone.

He makes incredible throws with touch at times. Hes a talent that you gamble on, IMO

Doesn't play the pro game at all and there's a good reason Vick couldn't win consistently in his career, outside of the dogfighting fiasco taking away a few prime seasons. He is a project, but a talented one... and the Browns have one of those.

No way we take him.

Still many variables out there that could impact that decision (Kizer, Kessler, other college QB's..) but as of now...

This is why it's even more important for Kessler to make a significant jump or Kizer to show great promise.

With the absurd amount of picks we have next year, especially early on (two 1st's and three 2nd's) one will most likely be a RB.

Not using one of those picks on a QB would be a great start to a playoff push. (not saying we are making playoffs next year. But if our picks pan out this year and our "sophomores" progress further, we should at least be battling for a wildcard spot)
Listen if we can win 5 or 6 games this year, sign three to four starters in free agency next year and hit on most of our high picks and solve the qb issue, 9 plus wins in 2018 should def be realistic.

Good thing this draft is stacked with running backs cause Crow is buh bye.

Interesting.

Him wanting out due to failure to extend or Browns not thinking he's worth the money no matter what type of year he puts together?

Himself and his agent thinking he's worth more than he is.

This is sadly unsurprising, considering his past. He isn't the brightest guy but i think he is built for the AFC North and I was pretty excited to see him behind our line this year.

Even if he exceeds expectations, you don't anticipate him sticking around? Wonder how much of it has to do with Hue's culture...I know he isn't a fan of the selfish player. Worse thing that could happen is to pay him and see his game drop off due to effort.

Big money in a RB on a second contract is one of the worst investments you can make next to using high draft capital for one.

We will rally around Poop Dick. And we will play good football.

Poop Dick is fine & I'm sure a young guy will be in the mix. That's if a guy like Matthew Dayes or someone else doesn't stick.

Hue raves about the Crow. He's also the one who met with Crowell and had long discussions with him about playing for the tender and not missing any time.

It's my understanding that Hue loves the kid.
