2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm definitely not the guy who wants to bypass top talent to reach for a QB, but it'd be funny and sad to see the Browns pick 2nd in a draft where 3 of the top 4 draft picks are QBs. :chuckle:

He has definitely shown some Johnny Manziel in him.

Browns already setting up mind games to see if he can fall to their second 1st rounder? :bleh:

This always changes after the combine and pro day, so I'll wait until the mock draft on here next season before I really start caring about who is going where. Also the 6-7 win team called the Browns drafting 12 and 15 in next year's draft happens!

Anonymous NFL Exec quote season comes early for this 2018 prospect.

His shoulder might make this not even matter if the nerve damage is really a thing

Guess we'll find out in the Fall

Let the process begin, where all the "can't miss" QB prospects start to self-destruct. It's starting a little earlier than normal this year.

When we look back, I think we are going to laugh how we thought 2017 was "weak". 4 legit NFL starters, potentially in this class, maybe more.

Yeah, this whole "mess off the field" thing is bullshit.

His off the field shit isn't nearly as troublesome as Manziel's. No where near the same league. He had a hot tub in his dorm room and got laid as a result. He wore a "Fuck Trump" hat. He speaks his mind and has a number of good points regarding college athletes; particularly the CTE issue. He had fun with his neighbor's yard furniture.

He is very outspoken about helping those less fortunate than him and actually does something about it. He refuses to be told that he shouldn't express his opinions and is fearless when it comes to calling things as they are. In think he is exactly the sort of leader you want so long as he focuses his energies a little more. You want that sort of brashness and brains.

He has a little growing up to do, but when it comes to his remarks it just seems like he is a bright kid that doesn't have time for people's bullshit. In no way should his behavior scare teams. But, thankfully for the Browns, some NFL execs are stuck in the 50s and would rather have people who beat their wives on their team than someone who might express an actual opinion instead of mouthing bland platitudes.

Provided his shoulder is good I like him even more as a potential franchise QB.

ideally we can get an impact player on both sides of the ball, although it is super early to know what our major needs will be. I am going to guess WR may be a position we will be looking to upgrade. After Britt and Coleman ( who still has a lot to prove himself) the entire group is a huge question mark. I would not mind going back to Aggie land in the first round next year and grabbing Kirk. Just seems like his explosiveness will translate easily to the NFL.

I think he's a distraction, and I also think he will be the third prospect behind Darnold and Allen when the time comes for a multitude of reasons.

I'd rather have either one of those two. Someone who feels blessed to be there and is ready to work hard. I don't want an entitled player like Rosen.

We are going to have to agree to disagree.

FSU grad/fan....

Tarvarus McFadden is very overrated when looked at as a prospect against his interception production. He forced a shitload of turnovers last year, but was far from perfect in coverage. In fact, teams took chances on him based on what was seen as a lack of discipline.

Derwin James on the other hand.....Motherfucking legit. If Derwin doesn't get hurt last year, he may be considered the best defensive player in the country as a true sophomore.

Jaire Alexander from Louisville is a stud IMO too. Watched a lot of Louisville last year and he made so many great plays and had a nose for the football. I feel like Alexander is the better player compared to McFadden although scouts will like McFadden's frame more.
