Because you'll lose fan base if they ship Amare out ..they can do it during the summer when they can focus on rebuilding..

So you don't lose fan base during offseason deals?

If Ferry would move Mo for expirings this offseason, the Cavs wouldnt lose fan base?

Losing fan base is inevitable if you're moving a star and has nothing to do with the time.

Whoa guys this thread gained like 100 pages since the last time I posted. So we aren't getting Amare . Oh well it was a pipe dream, and everyone knew we wouldn't be, but it is always fun to be a possibility.

Yes, but if they don't ship him out now they will lose millions of dollars based on his salary alone. Then in the off season they will lose millions by trading him any way. They are still star filled, Shaq, Nash is a pretty goodd attraction, and who is to say they don't get better if they trade Amare?

Chad Ford: I know we have basically written off any chance of an Amare Stoudemire trade at this point. But I found it interesting that a Memphis source insisted to me that the Grizzlies had some dialogue with the Phoenix Suns as recently as Wednesday about Stoudemire. According to the source, he Suns continue to insist that Rudy Gay be in any deal for Stoudemire. The Grizzlies won't give up Gay, I'm told. It makes you wonder, though, if the Suns are still talking to other teams.

Interesting....All things died down between the Cavs and Suns...Danny is a master at making things come out of no where. We still have a chance until 3 pm.

eh theres talk this morning of them trying to ship shaq to us, there was talk last night of them tryin to ship J-Rich to us, $arver definately wants wally i think, hopefully ferry sticks to his guns.

So this trade could turn into Shaq & Amare for Ben, Sasha, Wally, JJ and either Boobie or Andy? The one thing that doesn't surprise is that Cleveland pull off a trade like that, doubt that happens with the latest rumour of Shaq but I don't know with Cleveland.

The only way we include Wally is if they include Amare. Wally is the most attractive contract out there now that RLEC is off the block. If they don't want to give up Amare, we can still give Sasha + Ben for Shaq if they want.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that something happens. But seriously, our scenario has no one near the likes of Rudy Gay like they want for Amare. I could see them getting a bit desperate, but desperate enough to take Ferry's offer? It's so unlikely I cannot get my hopes up over it.
