Re: Amare Stoudemire - Last one out, turn out the lights
Keep it alive!
Keep it alive!
Damage 16
I keep asking BigMar why he thinks the Suns will trade Amare, but he won't respond other than typing out the owners name..
No..why didn't U just respond on one bullet at a time???A Few Reasons....
1. Suns aren't going anywhere.
2. Suns owner is suspected to lose $30 million next year (on the Suns)
3. Sarver is LOSING MONEY.
4. Suns aren't going anywhere this year.
5. Sarver is LOSING MONEY.
6. Sarver wants to get below the Luxury Tax Threshold.
7. Sarver is LOSING MONEY.
8. Suns may not make the playoffs this year and they have the 8th highest payroll in the NBA (maybe higher, I can't confirm that).
9. Sarver is LOSING MONEY.
10. Sarver may not be willing to give Amar'e an extension when his contract is up.
Good enough? lol

11. The NBA sent (supposedly) a memo to all teams about the salary cap and luxury tax threshold both DECREASING for the next 2 years.......
Good enough? lol
allegedly an amare deal fell through with the grizz yesterday.

Sheesh...
Amare is their star..just scored big time in the last two games..they went back to running..now reply.
So wow....the suns are back. They beat one of the worst teams in the league....and they gave up 119 points. Not going to get it done. Alvin Gentry? PLEASE!! PHX may slide into the playoffs now, but they aren't going anywhere in the West. You are looking at things from a fan perspective...OF COURSE they don't want to trade Amar'e. Sorry, Sarver's in control.
Because you'll lose fan base if they ship Amare out ..they can do it during the summer when they can focus on rebuilding..

If #2 is true, http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=apthwr this trade would save Sarver over $35 million dollars in 2009-2010 alone. Throw in a pick and cash.....you pull it. From a GM perspective.....you're definitely getting hosed....but I would have to think that is the absolute best trade scenario PHX could expect from us......unless we added a 3rd team.
