Cavs summer league team

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This team is going to be fun to watch with the influx of new young talent. Sexton, Cedi and Zizic bring energy and a love for the game. Also don't sleep on guys like Preston and Mathias in a year or so.

Blake he played in Idaho in a weak conference. I watched a little of his game and he was a hustle player that could nail a 3. I thought he had a chance, but he is not even ready for summer league.

He will need a year in the G-league to just get up to pace with alot of the guys out in summer league. I hope he is with the charge and we invite him back next year. You can see some of the tools but he can't adapt to the speed at all.

Yeah I agree. Looks like he is playing scared to me. He is a good athlete and has a decent handle and a good stroke. He might have a career yet.

In any event, I just think it's unlikely we win more than 35 games even with no trades and that win total will keep our pick. Any combo of trading Love, Hill, and Korver by the trade deadline lowers that win total.

You keep saying this, and you might be right depending on what we get out of Lue. If we get the same coach that was here the last two seasons, then yeah, 35 wins is pretty optimistic. If he really is going to coach them up and keep J.R. Smith off the floor, then they have .500 talent. Waiving J.R. Smith right now would add 5 wins to the team's total this season.

As to how many games the team is going to win next year. Provided we still have the same vets, I don't think you want to sleep on the ability of Cedi and Collin both to close games. As young as they both are, they really don't make a lot of mistakes and they play really hard. I could see them winning some close games. They may win a couple on pure hustle.

Hill for Bazemore may get it back.

Or JR and Perkins for Bazemore. We might have to include the 2 second round picks we would have given up to get it done.

They might actually be more incline to make the trade if they get into the Melo trade and buy out. Melo's contract will eat up their cap and JR would give them another expiring to make deals in the season.

Does Sexton play Saturday?

We need to keep that pick. Stop with the nonsense.

Can we bottom out in 2019-2020 instead? I doubt it's the better option cause you never want to trend backwards with the same core, and we definitely need another high lottery pick for this rebuild.

Atlanta is nowhere near the tax, so I don't know why they're going to give up a first round pick to dump one year of Bazemore's contract.

I don't think we are getting this years pick. I agree it would be great to get another one, but I am not sure we can.
