Sugar is absolutely nuts. You are full for a half hour, regardless of how many calories you eat, and them you need more sugar. Lots.

We can cure aids and we can't make bad food good for you. What the actual.

Just do not eat foods with sugars or any type of sweetener added, unless you make it yourself and it has organic maple syrup, organic unsulfured molasses or raw honey from a local hive since all three of those at least have some natural nutrients left in them. People would be surprised how much more energy one could have by learning how to eat a properly mixed diet without any added sugars. Also avoid soy as much as possible, since it can be very bad especially for the male body and anyone who has breast cancer within their families.

I'm familiar with diet. 100 of the pages in this thread are probably mine.

My buddy is a dietitian, he is vegan and he is completely ripped. He actually doesn't eat any soy and uses hemp protein instead and seems to really like it. Diets rely on the willingness to stick to good habits for 90% of the time and being able to go back to good habits after cheat days. My biggest issue is I love my sweets and I gain a pound just looking at them. It never helps me I am 5'11, but built to be 200+ pounds either and I am always hungry no matter what i am eating.

Crazy how significantly your taste buds change. Have never, ever, wanted sugar. The only cheat meal now is sweets.

I've been paring Insanity in the morning with a lift in the afternoon....is this too much?

I wake up early and complete an Insanity workout between 6-7am, then usually hit the gym sometime in the afternoon between 1-2pm. Should I reduce the number of trips that I make to the gym to 3 rather than the 5 trips I've been making? The 2nd month of Insanity is brutal, wondering if reducing the amount of time I spend at the gym will help with my energy levels.

I played some ball in college and had two workouts a day, but I'm now in my 30's and not sure I can keep that shit up.

I should note that I'm a teacher and would only keep this routine going through the end of August, after that I won't have the time.

Have you looked at T25 when it comes to the school year? That one is a workout similar to an insanity/p90x, but is a 25 minute workout. That is something to look at if you want to stay in shape with limited time period. I usually swim a lot as my workouts since it is a lot easier on the condition that i have, but I loved doing insanity and I need to slowly get back into it again.

My issue is I got it from my dad and when i am at my parents, he always has cookies, cookies, doughnuts and more cookies laying out. It is hard to snack on them when he has so many laying out. I like to make my own when i have time which are a lot healthier than regular ones, but still I should limit them. It doesn't help me I am limited on what I can do anymore physically since I am usually limited to swimming and some weights. I cannot do a ton of land training right now like I used to it. I cannot do the training for soccer anymore sadly.

I lasted a half hour.

If I don't eat anything else tonight, I'll have only lost a day/gained a third of a pound.

And I could easily eat.

Its incredible how quickly you can fuck up. Never having a sweet cheat day again.

I feel it. I always go into the weekends looking lean only to take a sweet-filled stoner cheat day and feel puffy by Sunday evening.

How many pounds can one seriously gain in just a matter of a few days? I feel like my body is an anomaly. It sucks b/c I am right at that point where if i can just avoid binge eating for a few weeks, the man boobs will be gone. Fuckin' former fat kid problems man. They are fo' real.

I haven't worked out in almost 2 weeks :chuckle:

Can definitely tell I am not as "tone" (hate that word) as I was 2 weeks ago. Going to get back on the train tomorrow.

Side note, does anyone know a place in your NE Ohio area that sells bicycles (road/endurance bikes) for a decent price?

I am looking down here in Columbus and although there are good deals, I feel I can get better.

Yeah, I've done T25 as a quick workout in the morning. It's not a bad workout at all. I thought it was a little too short for my liking, but it serves it's purpose.

Have you looked at Dandy bikes on North High Street? It's up the street from campus and has some pretty solid deals. They seem to sell their used bikes pretty cheap for students.

NE Ohio: There are a couple shops in Stow that are pretty decent. We got a couple bikes from Marty's a couple years ago- great bike and decent price. My brother bought a few at Eddy's that he is pretty happy with.

Never heard of Dandy Bikes. Thank you. Contacted them.

I have been to Bicycle One in Gahanna, Trek, Buckeye BMX in Hilliard, and Roll.

Hopefully they have a good used bike for ~500 w/some upgraded parts so I don't have to buy new. Roll has a new one for $600, but it isn't the best by any means.

3500 calories in a pound. Sugar is calories that require more calories.

Stopped myself from a trip to taco bell (1000) and from picking up a bag of chips (1000). I didn't even pig out yesterday, I biked for half an hour, was hungry for 6 hours and still hit 4000 net. That's 1200 over my maintenance, so 1/3 of a pound. Could have easily gained a pound yesterday and today will be more difficult because I've got sugar in my system and I'll want to replenish it.
