Lonzo Ball

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not sure what I would call that... stupid? sexist? Hard to say.. so .. so many options.. :chuckle: But yes, you could definitely consider such comments sexist.
Point being, don't defend him. He deserves any rude comments or judge of character.

You think LaVar will be going to jail? :chuckle:

With the path hes on I would't be shocked if the shoe is a scam and he takes the money and flees to Nigeria because he knows a big baller prince who can triple that shoe money for just a 10% down payment.

Oh believe me, I'm not LaVar fan... fuck that guy. But even with that said, I think a lot of the criticisms of him are over the top.

Like ole girl's comments about LaVar treating her in a sexist and threatening manner and that he essentially attacked "all women" were way off-base.

I just think people are projecting a lot on this guy, when instead we should be ignoring him and focusing on his son. That's why he keeps doing and saying outlandish things, so as to keep his son's name in the papers.

Stephen Jackson made a comment on Rich Eisen's show the other day that I thought was pretty smart.

A lot of people are acting like you can just ignore Lavar when you draft Lonzo, but if/when he starts publicly going after Lonzo's teammates the way he went after them at UCLA, that's gonna be a problem in an NBA locker room.

I think part of the problem is the NFL season and draft is over, college basketball had a boring tournament, the NBA's biggest regular season topic was players resting and lack of players caring about it and now the playoffs are a snooze fest. It's a perfect shit storm for Lavar.

Yep.. agreed!! Lol.. too many basketball players have already said .. this approach won't work in the NBA.

Hope LaVar understands that and can chill the fuck out.

This reaction is corny though. LaVar really has people in their feelings and the worst thing he has done is talk shit. He's exposing a lot of "fans" views on how athletes or people with a platform should fall in line and that bothers me. You don't have to like him but the people who take what he's saying personal look as dumb as he has at some points.

I've already said the only people who should really have an issue with what LaVar has said are the people who he's directed things towards personally Kyrie, LeBron, Whitlock, etc but the people who he hasn't personally attacked look like keyboard warriors who talk shit about athletes and coaches all day. Salty.

Well, and the fans of the people he's directed that shit at too, right? I mean.. I didn't start paying attention to LaVar until LeBron got involved in the situation. It's hard not to pay attention when your franchise player is talking about (or being talked about) in the context of a fist fight.. :chuckle:

But I agree, Simmons' sister shouldn't really be stoking shit about anyone... unless, well, she's doing the same thing LaVar is doing and it's all planned out for hype and attention.

This poor Lonzo fella has a enormous target on his back. He's going to get ate alive by all these sharks in the NBA and he's so lucky KG isn't in the game no more, he'll send Zo to the stands crying for daddy.

My boy Dicky V said Zo might give up 50 on a nightly basis. NBA players take notice of these kind of headlines, especially superstars. They're going to attack relentlessly on purpose.

I think I know what you're trying to say, but that made my head hurt. That fact that LaVar keeps saying and doing outlandish things is precisely what keeps his name in the papers instead of his son's.

So I'm going to disagree. I actually think LaVar prefers to have his own name in the papers rather than his son's.

I'm not going to go out and say he's 100% sexist (though I am leaning towards it), but he definitely thinks he's better than Kristine. The way he speaks, just seems like he thinks he's on top of the pyramid and a hot commodity. He just phrased it in a very sexist way. The reason I'm leaning towards sexist is because he essentially made a fat joke about one of the other hosts, directly followed by the talking down towards Kristine. She shit talks LeBron constantly and I'm not a huge fan of her, but I really did feel like he was being way more disrespectful to her than warranted. He could have just told her she's not his target, or specifically said he's not interested in marketing it towards women (which is basically what he said, but in a much worse way). It reminds me of my dad. Things are great when you agree with him, but when you disagree, it means you're against him.

Much like Trump, the media just idealized him, made him a household name. Now we're at the point of no return and realize it was a huge mistake... Well now this asshat has a taste for the spotlight, so of course he's going to milk this as much as possible. I see it only getting worse when Lonzo is in the NBA.

Big Baller Brand is one of the dumbest brand names in the history of anything. Lavar is definitely the person who came up with it. I think it should be repositioned towards people who are scaled much like Lavar. Out of shape guys who try to ball from time to time. Because if you have 'baller' money, you're not going to buy this overpriced off the factory floor product. It's basically a stock shoe that was made from the parts of other shoes in the factory and glued together. He doesn't seem to realize people have only preordered the shoe because it's a joke. If you bought the ZO2 as a performance shoe, you're a Braindead Brainwashed Buffoon.

100% how I feel.

Lavar fighting with the chick on Cowherd was the cringiest thing I've seen in a while. Guy is a real nut.

Lonzo is very talented. But his dad is setting him up for failure. Not just all the NBA players now gunning at his neck. But all of that media is a huge distraction and puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on him.

He is talented enough that maybe it won't affect his draft status, but I could see teams passing on him because they don't want all the extra BS or the distractions. But his dad should let the talent speak for itself. His dad is only making things more difficult for no reason other than his own ego and pride. I don't believe all publicity is good publicity, at all.

The shooting, the vision, the size for a PG, and the defensive potential. It's a special mixture for a PG. But if the Lakers or Sixers view any of these other lottery guys as having similar talent levels but as much less of a distraction, you probably go with the other guy.

I believe Lonzo is indeed top 2 talented in this draft. But Lakers really might not like dad trying to force his kid to their team and pigeon hole them like they have no other options. If other teams are scared to take him, that actually puts the Lakers in a bad position for flexibility or trades. That alone could make me want to pass on him if I was the Lakers.

But I think it would be hilarious if Lonzo didn't end up on the Lakers just to see how pissed his dad would be.
