New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've watched the first season. My girlfriend didn't like it but I thought it was decent. Maybe it'll grow on me if I keep watching.

Mrs. Tip and I binged watched Stranger Things over the last couple of weeks. Damn, what a good show. The acting -- especially by whomever played Hopper, Winona Ryder, and Dustin (the kid with the curtly hair and teeth issue), was really good.

Anybody started watching Electric Dreams on Amazon? Curious what any early thoughts are. I'm tempted to start it but have so many other shows that I'd like to watch.

I watched two episodes, it's like Black Mirror with a better known cast.

Richard Madden (Robb Stark) is in one episode I watched, Anna Paquin (from True Blood) and Terrence Howard are in the other.

Bryan Cranston is in an episode I haven't seen yet. I'm not sure who else.

Since you guys keep raving about it, I've been binging Black Mirror. Finished the first two seasons and am about to watch the Christmas special.

Fifteen Million Credits and White Bear were the two best episodes thus far. I enjoyed the pseudo-parody of Trump in The Waldo Moment as well, although that episode was just all right overall.

Didn't really care for The Entire History of You, as it was a bit on the boring side. Same for Be Right Back, although Haley Atwell's tits are phenomenal. :chuckle:

Holy shit. That Christmas episode was dark even by this show's standards.

Skip Season 1? Where should we start - if we commit, gotta make sure the wife enjoys it too. She was meh on the pig banging episode.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend skipping any of them. The second episode of season one is really good.

I've binged my way through the third episode of season three now and I'd rank them:

1. S03E03 - Shut Up and Dance
2. S02E02 - White Bear
3. S02E04 - White Christmas
4. S03E01 - Nosedive
5. S01E02 - Fifteen Million Merits
6. S03E02 - Playtest
7. S01E01 - The National Anthem
8. S02E01 - Be Right Back
9. S01E03 - The Entire History of You
10. S02E03 - The Waldo Moment

Star Trek Discovery has turned out to be really really good, FWIW... Last two episodes were fantastic.

was wondering if you ever watched it. I haven't watched it yet since it returned from it's break. I'm probably going to wait until I can binge watch it.

Whattt? How?

There were two mysteries in the show

1 - where did all of the people go?
2 - why did all of this supernatural stuff happen, especially to Kevin?

The show was presented for 3 seasons as the two being closely related. That whatever caused the departure also caused the things that happened to Kevin.

The finale gave a scientific solution to the first question that completely ignored the 2nd question.

The finale made all of the supernatural stuff that happened over the 3 seasons completely irrelevant. It resolved Nora's story, but not Kevin's.

My favorite episode was the one about too much technology.

Black Mirror is a lot of fun, I enjoyed the new season too.

Making the pig fucking one the first episode was a horrible idea though.

I'll have to check out Electric Dreams.

There are two interpretations of the finale btw.

The first is that she is telling the truth, the other is that she is lying. Chew on that one for a bit
