I watched "Titans" last night after seeing a commerical for it while watching Arrow. DC universe didn't do a good job of promoting this since I had no clue about it till 5 days after it was released.
For those who don't know it's the Dick Grayson/Robin show after he leaves Batman. It's set in Detroit. The pilot was good. I'm looking forward to new episodes.

Some pre-release Daredevil hype! Note that, while the title of the article is political in nature, the actual comments from the showrunner are only moderately so, and mostly just to draw comparisons between the way Fisk manipulates people and the way real-world leaders do the same.
Really liking the direction it seems they're going with this season. Just seems much more coherent and focused than season two, and I like that the showrunner says it's a self-contained story this year. These shows need more of that.
I'm a big fan of Big Mouth. First season was pretty good and decent foreplay fodder. Second season was much better and really erected the show for me. I think it'll be around for a long time.
Just finished season 3 of The Man in the High Castle. First two I enjoyed, but I think the show shifted into a new gear this season and it's becoming really, really good. The acting and dialogue still have some spotty moments but less so. The script feels smarter, and instead of shying away from its sci-fi backgrounds it fully embraces them which will make a lot of people turn away from it for good but for me, as a fan of sci-fi, it hooked me for good. The dude that plays John Smith is a great actor, and without spoiling anything I liked some of the new characters introduced. But the biggest strength of this show continues to be the absolute downright uncomfortable world-building. It's like, they portray this dystopian alternate reality that is vile to the core. Yet they string along just enough hope that things will get better, that the fascists will get their comeuppance, that it keeps things from getting too depressing.
Also, several truly shocking character moments, which I think the series needed.
Namely, Frank's death and of course Joe's. I have to think that John Smith is eventually switching sides (again) but he's also borderline unredeemable, so I'm not sure how that will work. He's like the Jaime Lannister of this show. Compelling character, wonderfully acted, but...on the wrong side. You see moments of disgust from John at the Reich's policies and actions, and he even vaguely implies at times that he is not totally in line with what the Reich is doing and has done, but then moments later you will be reminded that he still works for the Nazis. It's a maddeningly entertaining dichotomy, but I will admit I thought we'd finally make more headway in Season 3 with him than we did. He is still a staunch Nazi at the end of this season and the truth is, the moment he finally wakes up it will probably mean the end of the show is near. Because we need that villain on the Reich side of things.
Him and his Japanese sorta-counterpart Kido really are my favorite parts of this show. Kido is a whole 'nother story I won't get into, though, as I'm not sure anyone on here even watches this show.

Man, fourth episode of the new Daredevil season was fucking nuts. The action scene puts the hallway fight from season one to shame. Like, holy shit was it intense.

Smith seems to question the Reich only when its horrible policies adversely impact him personally, as with his children. He doesn't seem to give two shits about the suffering of others.
So I hope that he switches sides to help the Resistance, but still gets royally fucked in the end
Season three of Daredevil is making it abundantly clear that Fisk is a big part of what makes this show work. Season two was definitely weaker for not having him around aside from a couple of episodes.
