Open Discussion (Cavs + related issues)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I keep looking at my phone everyday to hope there's a text saying the Cavs traded Tristan and JR as well as fired Lue. If the team isn't better after those three people are gone, I doubt anything can...

It's so bad...JR refuses to even take a three anymore. Dude could be wide open...and he's gonna pump fake, spin dribble and either take a 1 handed off balance floater, throw it away, or pull up from 18.

Hmm what's happened around the time our shooting slump to our lineup:

this sounds like the kind of thing that Jarret Jack used to do back when he was here that ticked me off. wide open 3, moves up to take a long 2. WTF?

I thought the big issues I saw during the game were

Unwillingness to take a 3. Inability to make a 3

Thomas' poor shooting(should inprove significantly)

Losing them on Defense

Turnovers

All of those things can be improved with better lineups, and practice. If they are unwilling to dedicate themselves to mistake free basketball they can't beat the Warriors. They have an incredibly slim margin for error against the warriors. Everyoen does. They still had the lead and after not scoring for almost 3 min. The basically didn't score the last half of the last quarter. They have to be smarter, move the ball and not turn the ball over. They did none of those things.

They slowed KD and Steph down enough to win IMO. The didn't get KLove going enough and Thomas missed his shots. IT got anywhere he wanted, and his playmaking was a difference maker in teh first half. They have got to play as a team and reduce their mistakes. I don't think it is impossible to beat golden state like everyone else does. I saw a team that fucked up a game they could have easily won last night.

Even they know they aren’t good enough. Get off your hands Koby.

Meanwhile Bledsoe is playing lockdown defense in Milwaukee and got traded for peanuts.

Man, I still can't believe we didn't go hard for Bledsoe.

He is exactly what we need against the Warriors. A very good defender who could guard either Curry or Klay and a good point guard, who can handle the ball, penetrate and make plays for others.

Now, obviously, he isn't the offensive player that IT is. But overall against the Warriors, Bledsoe would have been a better fit.

Not to forget, he is under a really good contract as well.

it's the curse of the Brooklyn pick. Just ask the Celtics. Teams would refuse to deal with you if you don't put it on the table. It's why Ainge ended up passing on a lot of good players he wanted till he finally gave it up in the Kyrie trade

I wanted him as well...all we have now is drama..

Bledsoe's mediocre defense against Golden State will not be worth IT's scoring abilities.

And as for "all we have now is drama", that'll be the case WHOEVER we get as long as LeBron plays for the Cavs.

Would just like to once again make a toast to the genius that is David Griffin.

*sees GS death lineup featuring maximum spacing and maximum defense.
*thinks to himself 'yeah, we can build something to rival that'
*constructs a team with maximum spacing and no defense

Someone should have stopped this clown before he exhausted all our assets chasing this naive vision
