Tito could be clueless and just stuck in his own ways sometimes, batting Lindor leadoff in this shitty lineup is stubborn as fuck. In 2016 Lindor was batting 3rd and was damn nice in that spot. Mercado has shown enough to play his ass off in that spot if given the chance. Lindor is scorching too and he's just getting started.

I understand he likes the S/L/S/L/S but that shit could be overthinking too. We don't have the qualified players in between our studs. Bauers, pffff.

This lineup needs tweaked in a major way. Tito is pussyfooting around with that 4th slot way to much. These guys have no protection behind them. That son of a bitch Bauers needs to at least flyout and give us a goddamn chance at a sac fly, his unproven ass strikes out.

Mercado is definitely the guy for the job that'll spark the team with his energy and get the players rallying around the youngster to succeed. I just don't know if more pressure will hurt him.

Mercado-Jose-Lindor-Santana-Kipnis-Luplow-Bauers-Perez-Martin seems fair to me.

Jose should see better pitches batting in front of Lindor.

I don't think anyone in here is giving the team the benefit of the doubt like the last 2 years, which I think they deserved because those 2 teams were very good despite early exits (especially 2017).

Without something drastic happening, I really do not see us catching the Twins. They're playing really, really good baseball and the Indians are putzing around .500

I don't think we need a lot of changes, but we do need to really get an all-star caliber bat in the lineup. We have really good defensive guys ready for the OF, and guys who can steal bases that way as well, we just gotta find another legit bat to take some pressure off of this lineup. Getting a guy like a Brantley (aka a veteran who can handle a bat and help the young guys) will give us I think what we need.

Jose's BABIP overall this season is .210, which is something you cannot even do on purpose. He will be better in the second half, he cannot continue to be this unlucky.

We just need to make the change soon/now not wait to the trade deadline!

I think they trade away players to build the farm system up and embrace a rebuild if the season crashes. They would not be contending for a World Series for a while. They won’t be “getting em” next year. I think a rebuild is a sound decision . They can still keep sone of the young pitchers like clevinger and Bieber as a base.

Regardless of the 88-92 type of season Indians would have put up, they’d have been swept in first round by Sox, Yanks or Astros. AL is super strong at the top right now.
