Series 30 Angels @ Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Is 56% attendance supposed to be impressive? That's gotta be bottom 20% of the league during that time. They're not that St. Louis Cardinals who draw 40k every year even if the team is mediocre.

Their attendance is down 4k from last year and nearly 6k since 2015, their fans are literally hopping off the bandwagon.

Obviously the Indians would like attendance to be better, but they just aren't drawing fans through the week. They have averaged over 30k on the weekend for June and July.

It is a shame the Indians don't have better fan support. Cities like Philly, Minnesota, San Diego, Pittsburgh, and even Cincinnati all outdraw them. The Tribe has a good ballclub and deserves better from its fanbase. To be in the bottom 5 coming off a World Series appearance is an embarrassment.

Having gotten that out of the way, I'm excited by the way they played in their most recent homestand. It was nice to see them take care of the teams that they should be able to beat.

It is a shame. Good news is attendance has gotten better by month- they finished July with 27,523 (78%) which is pretty good but could/should obviously be better.

I mentioned it earlier, but the Indians have done fantastic on the weekends in June and July, but weekdays are really struggling.
Friday & Saturday: 32,815
Sunday: 27,975.
Weekday: 22,323

I am curious if they look to add even more day games next year, if possible. They have outdrawn weekday night games significantly, with yesterday's game at 28,083

How do they fix it? Move promos to weekday games? Lower the prices more?

They could offer @sportscoach providing free hot takes with a bullhorn in whichever sections are struggling the most.

No worries, when the Cavs ship finally sinks, the Tribe will be back on top. I'm still trying to figure out how Browns sell out. Football is so much better on TV, especially since Redzone became available.

sportscoach admitting he's here to be the contrarian douchebag and get shit moving.

Stop having shit takes just to provide an opposite view. Why not just actually talk about what you think and not be a moron?

It's a message board, dude. Sportscoach is probably a 68 year old retired elementary school gym teacher, who picks up his grandkids from soccer practice when he's not posting Bradley Zimmer takes on here. Chill out and try not to take sports discussions so seriously.

Do the browns actually still sell out? This smells like something true ten years ago and assumed to still be true.

Fuck that, he can get off my lawn.

Giving boobie a podcast is just the self confidence and self reassurance boost he needs.

I am a 28 year old guy who went back to college after working odd jobs to get his degree as a high school teacher, but your other point is very true. Sometimes people take things way too seriously and need to lighten up.

We need to come up with rules though.

Something like he has to have a butt plug in the entire podcast.

Way off subject here, but why do you here people work odd jobs but never work even jobs?

And yes, Dad humor. 0

Gotcha. I'm 28 years old as well, but I envisioned you as an older dude resembling Greg Brinda for some reason.

Cause odd jobs will never be even since even jobs make sense, but odd jobs do not make sense. Like a socially awkward person being a server at a 4 star restaurant. Never expect that one lol

In fairness, that is what RCF prided itself in back when most of us joined and S34 didn't exist yet. If a new person started a bad thread or made a bad post, there were 5 people directing them to the "New to RCF?" sticky. Now I'm not saying the jumping down newbies's throats was necessarily a good thing, but it did lead to better quality and serious discussions.

Different RCF now and this is the Indians subforum, but it would be nice to see more quality in here. Bimbo hardly posts, AZ doesn't really offer much insight past a few snarky comments. I can't really blame them much though, there isn't a whole lot of substance to go off of in here most of the time.

I guess it could be worse! Though I have no clue who Greg Brinda is. I started coaching swimming when I was 16 and in school I always tested 6-7 years above my age so I guess I am a bit of an old soul maybe and that comes out? Who knows, people often times are slightly different in person than they are on these sites.
