I hope the Raiders flop massively. Oakland had great fans.

Also wish more owners had the cajones to stand up to this bullshit, but they'd never because one day when they can get more money from moving they don't want to burn bridges. Disgusting.

What cities are paying for these stadiums is just absurd. It terrifies me what this city is going to have to do in 10-12 years when our stadium becomes one of the obsolete ones. Part of me feels bad for Raiders fans but the other part is thrilled for the city that they haven't been saddled with the massive debt of a stadium used 10-12 times a year.

It's a garbage model where the NFL holds cities hostage to pay for something that makes no sense for the owner to not pay. But they know they can do it because there's always a line of desperate cities climbing over themselves to offer to buy it for the owner.

I'm sure the Dolphins reasoning was financial. One theory I read was they didn't want another Super Bowl site competition. The same reason they could have voted against the Rams move.

The NFL and their owners just continue to trample all over the loyal fan bases because a CITY doesn't want to buy their stupid new stadium that they have no reason to pay for

I really hope the NFL takes a huge dive in popularity. I know it won't happen anytime soon, but the amount of "too big to fail" nonsensical moves they make is such bull shit

Truth is, voting against at this point in the process is a PR move. It's disappointing to see a City lose their team, but the Dolphins are still getting that relocation fee and know damn well that the vote against isn't changing anything aside from a slight PR win.
