The reason dee became more involved is because alec scheiner stepped down.

That said, the Cleveland.com article was shite. Diving deeper into the source, the article stated that transcript of that audio had been public since 2013; this is the only time it had been actually played in public (ie at the trial). So it's not like it was a new revelation. Did they go easy because of his connections, I wouldn't be surprised. But they needed some plausible deniability, and if it's just one recording of one guy shooting his mouth off that Haslam knew about it, not sure that was going to stand up.

If Dee Haslam fixes the uniform debacle we're currently rolling out there, I will forgive a LOT. Eat a giant D for those, Alec Scheiner.

Maybe that's what he was trying to do when he got canned. :chuckle:

I don't know exactly, but I'm pretty sure there were some sexual assault allegations flying around and NDAs being signed.

In both cases with Zeke and Haslam the law didn't find any reason to bring charges. The NFL chose to investigate one further and not the other. They make up the rules as they go. No transparency.

Woof JLC is one of my least favorite human beings sports related. I would think that Stillers/ratbird/bungles fans would want to see Jimmy stay as owner because of how fucking terrible he is in the same way we want Mike Brown to keep owning the Bengals because he’s such a cheapskate
