The Joe Thomas Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
i've always been mesmerized by what an athletic freak of nature Larry Allen was. And he is in the HOF. YMMV.

I'm probably selling JT short as a pure athlete. For me it's all about his durability and what a gifted technician he was.

I mean, I agree.

He just wasn’t a left tackle.

That site and the writing and pretty much everything about it is an abomination. I'm really not sure it even deserves to be posted here, even to be made fun of.

EDIT: The terrible quality actually seems self-contained within that opinion piece, so, I'll withdraw criticism of the whole establishment. However, that piece is written horribly, even the author's bio is bad writing.

Well you said Larry Allen was a better LT than Joe Thomas when Larry Allen wasn't a LT sooooo

I got angry listening to the Thomahawk pod yesterday. Not at Joe. Not at all. I got angry about the lazy ass radio hosts (Hammer, Rizzo, & Hooley in particular) who have bones to pick about "veteran's days off" when they hardly have to move a ******* finger in their 4-hour jobs. Joe's body is wrecked and it got wrecked while he busted his ass for a losing team; most guys go in the tank when they lose, or decide to go somewhere sunny.

Ironman.

Why would anyone ever listen to that trash station? WKNR needs to be taken off the air.

This might be a good omen for the Browns franchise, karma-wise. Bear with me.

Joe epitomizes Cleveland in a lot of ways. It would just be the essence of the "old" Browns for Joe to retire only to see the team finally become a legit contender in the year immediately after he hangs it up. The most "only the Browns" type of a thing that can happen.

Cavs, and Cav fans gave Joe alot of love tonight. Gotta say I am proud of the Cavs and the fans and how they sent the message to Joe. Much love #73, see ya in Canton.

Part of me wants him to be on the coaching staff but damnit if his broadcasting career wouldn’t be elite.

Rizzo would be pissed.

But you're right. JT is both smart and funny, and his expertise is inarguable. I hope he stays too, but I'd like to hear him call games as well.
