You're not testing for it by ambushing people on the street who aren't actually fully considering what you're saying. They're just relying on the politicians name, not evaluating the policy proposal.

It's also kind of unwise to post a video like that, because there are just as many videos (probably a lot more, to be honest) of the same thing happening to conservatives.

At any rate, I've always considered videos like that to be pretty useless for anything other than a cheap laugh because they are agenda-driven and will obviously cut out any segments where the person was knowledgeable and didn't fall for the trap.

They all show the same thing, too many people rely on others to tell them what their opinions are, which doesn't just apply to politics.

The Air Force is short 1000 pilots.

They are going to call them back. Unfortunately, as Congress has allowed a state of emergency to exist for the past 16 years, this is legal.

"Just a moment, Admiral, sir. I'll explain what happened. Your revered Admiral Nogura invoked a little-known, seldom-used 'reserve activation clause.' In simpler language, Admiral, they drafted me!"

Is this a "this is a thing that the military does" thing or is this a "this is a sign that our military is going to be in higher use" thing?

The military, and the AF in particular, are historically low on pilots. For a number of reasons. They can't stop them from leaving so they won't let them leave anymore.

It is not a sign of imminent conflict. They cannot call back more than x number of people. If they are able to get authorization for 1000 I would be surprised.

Now every service member is liable for time after they separate in either the active reserve or inactive ready reserve. When you retire you are liable for IRR service for something like 5 years. I owned 3 after I left Army.

I like Ted...not only for his political stances, but because he really made something great out of his life after he immigrated to Parma of all places with his family from Taiwan. He's an Iggy grad, I think. I went to jr. high with his younger brother.

Back to his message...the errors in these security clearance applications are just comical at this point. How many things can a person forget to leave off?

They would not have received clearance if they were ordinary government personnel.

I agree. Jared and Ivanka shouldn't be in the White House. It's nepotism. I certainly wouldn't be happy if Chelsea Clinton was sitting in and doing many of the things Ivanka has been doing.

The funny thing is their situation is so much better than Naval (carrier) aviation... When we've diverted to where AF is located, it's like a mini port call. And, they're there bitching about it. I wonder if the Navy is hurting on guys. I know we're starting to see way more SFTI's (Top Gun grads) leave then we have in a while. (And they generally have 12ish+ years in..)

Anecdote, we had a guy go to the CAOC. Met an AF Major there that spent two weeks on the boat. He came up to our guy and was like, "if I was Navy I would have done minimum time and gotten out. What do you guys need on the boat?" Our guy's response... "I've been "stealing" Cliff Bars from the DFACC. In a month, can you send us a resupply?"

The Air Force are a bunch of pussies. They bitched about their six-month deployments to their luxury bases in Iraq. These guys had swimming pools, a movie theater, a steakhouse, a TGI Friday and on and on.

Meanwhile, we were eating moldy bologna sandwiches, MREs, shitting in cat holes and getting chewed up by bed bugs.

I'm not sure about the Navy. My sister was a rear for 18s and she got out right after picking up Major. They didn't make a big show about trying to keep her in this summer.

So was the whole Russia scandal a projection by the Democrats of their own crimes?

You have head of the congressional intelligence community, Devin Nunes, saying more evidence exists of collusion between the Clinton's and Russia than between Trump and Russia.

You have Fusion GPS desperately trying to cover up who funded the piss dossier.

All of this under the watchful eye of Obama and his "Scandal Free" presidency. Looks like the shoe is on the other table which has turned.

Hillary Clinton was equally unelected, and even more directly involved in policy when Bill was President. And their supporters saw that as fantastic, not illegitimate.

With all the hatred of the Trumps, and the massive internal leaks from the bureaucracy and investigators, the lack of any leaked, truly damaging specifics is a pretty good indication that they've found bupkis after well over a year.
