Goodbye Larry Nance Jr.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Larry got robbed

Also I hope Lue knows he needs to be starting after the all star break

All I know is when Love comes back TT shouldn't be a part of the rotations anymore, dude is so bad in every aspect of the game of basketball but the most glaring is his extremely low IQ.

I really think it's been a lack of hustle this year on the part of Mr. Kardashian.

I wish we could trust lue to make the right decision. But he loves going with what he knows. I’m fully expecting a return of the TT love front court with cedi out of the rotation.

Hell no I don't want Nance to start. Let him come in for bench and closing lineups. Let Tristan take all the wear and tear of banging with opposing starting centers when they're fresh. Fuck that guy idc about his knees now that Nance is here. Let LNJ get in once they've been tenderized a bit so we could save him some beatings. TT is basically a sacrificial lamb to me at this point. Maybe he'll step his game up now that he knows he's been replaced.

I’d rather start with our best foot forward as oppose to treading water until nance comes in. Nance isn’t some skinny rail. He’s got good size. No reason he can’t start at all. TT might actually be better coming off the bench. Let him go against backup bigs who can’t kill him.

If Love and Crowders struggles don't tell you about the long term repercussions of playing up a position idk what to tell you. I look at it from the POV of long term sustainability of a deep playoff run, fuck a regular season. Shane Battier literally said playing smallball 4 for Lebron took years off the back end of his career. I'm good on that with Nance.

TT does not work coming off the bench. We know this. We've seen this movie before.

TT only has 2 places with this team:

(1) Starting with LBJ

(2) Waving a towel at the end of the bench

I can't wait for Love to come back so that we envoke option 2.

Crowder was much smaller than nance and love has had a career of injury issues. Nothing about loves injury came from playing center. There’s really no comparisons to those other situations.

I think TT should start then bring Larry in when their starting center gets some burn so Larry can finish most of the minutes. I don't want him worn down like TT obviously has been.

Golden State does the same with Draymond in terms of conserving him at PF. Green said he couldn't handle starting center a full season and still contribute efficiently. Too much of a beating.

How good could he become?
Nance is very athletic, wide wingspan, high energy and determination, good BBIQ, team player , ...
He still needs to get stronger and get more experience but if he does, how does he compare to his dad?

Who cares if Nance is starting if he's getting 30 mpg and in the closing lineup?
He has been injury prone and you can't run him like Lebron out there.

This absolutely

I'm a huge fan of LNJ, but I can see the argument for continuing to start TT -- at least until Love comes back. Fact is, we need both guys playing, and things are going really well right now with TT starting but LNJ getting a lot of minutes, and sometimes being the guy to close out games. Benching TT right now is kind of along the lines of trying to fix what isn't broken, and may cause more problems than it solves.

And yes, I do think LNJ is better than TT. Still can't believe LAL gave him up for a low first rounder.

I read some Lakers boards, and I dunno if they realize how hard it is to draft late, but because he and Clarkson were late picks, they value them that way.

They liked Nance, but they assume they are getting a stud with the Cavs pick. Maybe the front office there thinks the same. It is a deep draft. I imagine they have someone in mind. Maybe they will do it.

Nance is exactly the guys the Cavs need. Clarkson is also a guy we value, but they view him as totally expendable.

It's sort of makes sense. They are earlyisg in their rebuild and these are guys we are hoping to gain a slight edge with. They are def complementary pieces and that what the Cavs want them to be.

I was trying to figure out when these guys would peak and I was a little surprised that year 5 is the average year players peak. So Clarkson and Hood should have their best season next year and Nance should the year after.

That's a pretty nice time period for the Cavs and Lebron.

Senior is probably two inches taller, with a longer wingspan and a better shot. Junior has more lateral quickness.
