Goodbye Larry Nance Jr.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wasn’t able to stay up to watch the game. How’d nance do against jok defensively?

Nance is such an upgrade. Plays smart, looks for the right play. Doesn't force thing up like TT under the basket where then TT misses the free throws. Nance watchs the misses to better get the rebounds.

Nance played well but Jokic was killing them inside ..I thought Lue putting Zizic on him would slowed him downa bit, but the kid will need to improve his defense and get more strength.

Jokic is a beast. Too big and too much touch and shooting skill. Nance did about as well as you could expect.

After these 2 games it should be so freaking obvious that he should take TT's spot in the starting line-up. But just for lue he will have more games to prove it. If Lance does not get the starting spot once TT comes back I will forever hate ty lue (even more then i already do ofcourse).

I was happy to see Nance was willing to get physical with Jokic. He was aggressive about defending in the post and didn't concede easy buckets.

It wasn't just Larry that was fatigued. That was a really good win and the guys made it through, but they did not have their normal bounce. I do think Lue had to get Larry some strategic rest

Too many long stretches for him

Nance Sr. was automatic from 16-18 ft (specifically from the baseline). He was also a better man defender. Jr. Is a better team defender and has vastly superior motor.

Nance Sr didnt become automatic from 18 feet until he became a Cav. I think a good offseason for your boy Nance Jr working on the shot will do him a world of good at making that at a better percentage.

Also, out of curiosity, what area did Jr decide to live. I was curious if he got a place in Bath or ended up somewhere in Cleveland.

This guy is the real deal. He is just sooo much better than TT on both ends that it just cannot be overlooked by our clown coach.

Lue freaked out when Jokic made tough shots over Zizic and put Nance back in early.

Nance looked tired to me with 10/11 minutes left in the game but he still delivered.

All of you whoe are saying Nance could have played better and Jokic dominated everyone, yeah, technically you are all right. I'm sure the altitude had something to do with the overall fatigue on the part of the Cavs, but let's also remember...

Arguably, Jokic is the best center in the NBA. Seriously.

He's gonna get his... from the inside, from mid-range, and from outside. And his elite passing ability is going to keep his teammates involved as well. Honestly, I'm thrilled at how well Nance played against Jokic, especially considering that Love isn't there to help share some of the responsibility and to spread the defense a little more. I mean, really you can't ask for much more than what he was able to do. 13/13/3 with 4 steals?? Yes please!

Maybe the best offensive center, arguably. But the definitely not the best center. His defense is non-existent.

Sure, but given the point @Cratylus was making, offense was all that matters.

I agree. Dude had it cooking last night, and nobody was going to straight up stop him. Nance and Zizic at least made him work and allowed other guys to stay home for the most part. Jokic couldn't have played better, and the Cavs still won.
