He just gives wild opinions sometimes, and offers his sincere thoughts before, during, after games. We don't want our community to 'stop' posting because of disagreements, that's why I said don't be a dick. :chuckle:
 
Nance and Zizic did as good a job on Jokic as anyone on this damn roster. Almost every shot was contested (Zizic did an exceptional job and I legit felt sorry for him as Jokic lit him up). Yes, he probably grabbed a few more rebounds than he should have but this was just a fantastic night for Jokic.

It's like getting mad at Draymond for defending LBJ as he racks up a triple double - these things happen in basketball and sometimes the offensive guy has a better night.

Nance pulled him outside the paint and played him extremely well positionally. I think that's the point a lot of people miss - they look at Jokic banging bodies, dominating the paint and stuffing the stat sheet. But basketball is more than numbers. The room Nance created on the offensive side of the ball was just as vital as what he missed out on, on the defensive side, and this made up the difference.

No issues from me. Larry Nance is a walking double double for what it's worth. Let's not forget those 4 steals and a handful of assists. Guy is a contributor to every facet of this Cavalier team and anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're watching. I'll take whatever he gives up defensively because he makes up for it in effort on that side of the ball + contributes significantly on offense.

He's also completely selfless, from what I can gather. He's team first, doesn't need the spotlight, but could easily put up all-star numbers if he was 1% more "me-first." He doesn't care about putting up shots, could probably average as many points (if not more) than his father did during his team with the Cavs.

Zizic should be starting over Nance and then trying to justify your stance with complete nonsense . Is just one example . I’m done responding to your post . You may have some fooled, I can see through your bs .

Hmm....

I really don't respond to people on the internet like that... Don't see the reason to be obnoxious and aggressive , so I'll just explain my point.

I said there is a case to start Zizic because of his size and in order to preserve Nance. It has nothing to do with their basketball abilities as Nance is by far the better player now. The problem is that Nance had barely played as a Backup center and certainly didn't play as a starting Center prior to coming here. He is a 6'9 and he has always been a 4.

He was clearly fatigued and overmatched in the second half and no matter how you slice it, it's tough for a player his size that relies on athleticism and hustle in order to make plays to also bang against players much bigger than him for 36 minutes while also maintaining the same edge... and it is also slightly dangerous.

GSW could also start Draymond Green at the 5 and play Durant at the 4, but they still don't do it for bunch of reasons.

The minutes management were wonky , so I'll just wait and see how Nance looks over the next games.

But if Zizic could get more minutes and sub in for Nance earlier in the quarter it would be just as good.

So you still didn't explain why it is nonsense? Again, these are legit concerns even if you sir don't agree with them..and I bet it's your only example.
 

I can listen to him speak all day, every day. My man crush obsession is really starting to reach unhealthy levels - literally just replaced photos of my fiancé with photos of Larry Nance Jr.

But yet you fail to mention Zizic looked even more fatigued . Playing a mile high had everyone on the team winded. Nance is just 25 years old averaging 22 minutes a game this season . He should be able to go 40 minutes a game if need be . Just be grateful Zizic is receiving minutes . Once Love returns, Nance and him will be interchangeable at the 5 giving each other a break. Ante will be back to towel waving. Cedi and Zizic both will see deminished playing time once the playoff roll around . Note , I’m very excited to have Cedi and Zizic on our team and look forward to watching them mature as basketball players .
