WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't mind guys kicking out of finishers as much as I mind most guys only having one move that finishes matches.

Would love it if some of these guys would win a hard fought match with one of their signature moves from time to time.

That's an Issue with Seth Rollins. He has a move set that includes stuff that would be almost anyone else's finisher but they never put anyone out.

I think every guy should have two or three signature moves that they occasionally win matches with and a finisher that is much more protected. They win the majority of their matches with the finisher, but sometimes they win with a signature move. That keeps things a bit more exciting on a week to week basis. And kicking out of finishers should be rare. It shouldn't happen more than a couple of times a year. Granted, it doesn't always have to be at big shows. If you do it right, you can have someone kick out on Raw or Smackdown and make it feel like a huge deal since it happens so rarely.

But just having matches won with signature moves from time to time would really freshen things up, especially if that extended to PPV matches too.

Agreed.

Always thought the guys that throw those high kicks should get a few pins to make their striking ability actually seem like a threat.

Like Punk with that roundhouse? The guy slumps and falls, but kicks out. Yuck.

so Owens and corbin had a triple threat match the next night and Owens doesnt appeared injured. nor suspended.

Sheamus has that Brogue kick.

Yeah, I'd wager it's either part of a larger storyline or they just haven't had a title change at a house show in ages and decided to go with it.

Great balls of fire was actually pretty good. all things considered.(such as I had much lower expectations for the event)
Wyatt vs Rollins- Wyatt won with an eye rake. solid match to start with. the rivalry itself pretty much has no pulse.)
Enzo of cass should of been in the pre show with Neville opening the classic.
Hardys vs Sheamus and Cesaro was a pretty decent iron man match. the pinfalls were pretty well booked. time to move the hardy's down and let them gather some steam .
Alexis and sahsa was basically a set up for a stipulation match.
Miz vs Ambrose Miz put on a solid match and the interference was well coordinated. Miz followed up with an excellent promo on smacktalk. ( please never have these two wrestle each other ever again)
Roman and Stroman put on a show. the double turn at the end was overdue the crowd had already switched.. we will see if it sticks on Raw.
Lesnar verses Samoa - Lesnar actually had to work but as usual his opponent was reduced to a limited moveset. the finish was not worthy of the bout . either it was booked to make lesnar look lucky or they ran out of time. not for sure.
speaking of time.. I couldn't tell if the Jaws of life segment was a work or they really messed up and couldn't get the door open. the partial Slater match between segments looked halfbaked.

Im glad Joe got some offense in. Im surprised it wasn't a squash tbh. Lesnar may have won, but it gave Joe some rub.

One thing I want a true die hard WWE fan to tell me is why...why do they have a separate tour going on the same time as a PPV or a tv show?

well for 1 PPV isn't truly PPV anymore.. meaning if you want to watch it you can watch it anytime on the wwe network.

Meanwhile you have an entire cast prepping for their own Event in 2 weeks.

if WWE has a Raw event on broadcast and a smackdown live non televised house show in St louis.
fans can watch the raw event any time they want.... even at the smackdown show if they want.
