Your 2018 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The gist is that teams are upset that Donaldson went back on the DL immediately after the trade as players on revocable waivers are supposed to healthy.

They think the Indians circumvented the spirit of the waiver rules.

That being said a fair amount of teams were trying to get Donaldson so all of them are at fault since they tried to do it themselves. MLB may have to change this in the future but right now what they did was legal and not against the rules. If they don't like it then in the offseason they will have to change the rules and get rid of the loophole.

Not exactly.

The teams complaining are upset that the Indians were allowed to put a player healthy enough to go on waivers back on the disabled list immediately, not that they traded for him in the first place.

The feeling that I got from the article is that other teams wouldn't have put Donaldson back on the DL. And frankly with expanded rosters, the Indians didn't HAVE to put him back on the DL if they didn't want to. They could have had him getting every other day at bats in the majors if they were so inclined.

That is true, but it is a lot easier to get guys at bats in the minors honestly than in the pros hence why they usually do that. I don't think its that big of a deal at the end of the day, they just don't like it. The only way they could stop it going forward is the fact a player cannot be traded if they are on the DL even for the waiver wire trades.

Isn’t that more on the Blue Jays than the Indians?

Miller activated

Before I celebrate, I want to see him stay healthy first.

anyone get the feeling Houston is going to sweep us out of the playoffs....too much inconsistency going on...especially bullpen wise...they have 3 weeks to become a well oiled machine which they haven't been able to do in 6 months

Houston a well oiled machine?

world champs...

Honestly they haven't been a well oiled machine this season to be honest. They have been up and down as well. I think the only team that hasn't had a lot of hiccups is Boston overall.
