News, Articles, and Random Stuff about LeBron

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
James called Joel Anthony "the most athletic big I've played with," which, if true, would provide a one-sentence vindication of his inability to win a title in Cleveland. Although that's a stretch, the Heat do like his mobility. "He's very strong, and he runs like a small forward," James said. "His shot-blocking ability is unbelievable."

This was from John Hollinger's insider piece on ESPN.

If that is what Lebron really believes then it is no wonder he left Cleveland. If he thinks an undersized 6-9 journeyman center is the most athletic big he has ever played with than he clearly thought very poorly of the talent around him in Cleveland all those years.

The LeBron hate on here is ridiculous. Let. It. Go.

Thanks for joining to tell us this one, crucial thing.

But, on the other hand, be from Cleveland and then tell us the same thing. It's easy to be objective from Chicago. Not so easy being from the epicenter of this summer of suck.

Race Card... ugh.

I don't think it has to do with the fact that he is black that people reacted so badly. Maybe the question should be "why don't more black people hate him?" if those stats are true.

As for "what about Favre?" If Favre was from Madison and never won a superbowl in Green Bay and went on national TV to make a spectacle where he'd LEAVE for the Dolphins, that'd be a logical comparison. But no, he wanted to return and Green Bay moved on, rightly so. Plus he WON A FUCKING SUPERBOWL. Terrible comparison just to back up that bull shit about it being race-related.

I hope JJ read that comment...

The negative reaction to Lebron had to do with his behavior, attitude, actions, and comments. It had nothing to do with race for 99% of people. It is sad and pathetic for he and Carter to pull out the race card. Especially for those everyday average people who actually do have to deal with some racism on a regular basis.
I want this guy to shut up but yet every time he opens his mouth he only further proves what a fraud and fool he is and also proves Dan Gilbert right so there is a little upside.

ESPN continues to get worse and embarrass itself further on a daily basis. They no longer really cover sports or practice any type of journalism. It's all hype, self promotion and opinion. Somehow managed to get through a little bit of those Rachel Nichols "interviews". Everyone involved with that should be ashamed and she shows herself to be a joke.

He might be though. Hickson is the only big that even comes close. Lebron's not played with many bigs who play above the rim. Pretty much only Hickson. Maybe Tony Battie?

Agree Ncarl..and now the comment about Joel Anthony being the most athletic bigman he's played with is another slap in the Cavs face and more of him trying to suck his new teammates into him..
How bout wait till the regular is underway and you've seen what your teammates are made of?
He keeps putting things out there that show more and more of his inmaturity...

Have they accepted you over on the Heat forums or is there a backlash against LeBron fans/bandwagoners? I'm not trying to be a dick, it's a serious inquiry. I can't imagine the pre-2010 Heat fans over there are stoked about the amount of fanboy attention your favorite player has unleashed upon their boards.

He needs to be much more specific if he's going to claim race.

The more he talks, the happier I am he's gone.

At this stage in his life, he's living in a "Vinny Chase" fantasy land.

And just to get real for a moment.. There's no race war involved. People are upset because they believed in hm. Be it right or wrong, they wanted to believe he wasn't the typical "out only for me" douche bag athlete, that 99.5% of these players are. People from NE Ohio wanted a reason to believe that he wouldn't bolt the first opportunity he had, like most every other athlete who had come before him. People in NE Ohio needed to believe in themselves, and as bad as it sounds, for the time he was here, he provided that.

However, the burden falls strictly on anyone who every felt that way. Athletes are over-privileged and lack any sense of reality. They'd rather spit on you than shake your hand. They only do community work because it's another form of marketing.

I would personally like to see attendance drop for all sports, and have these 'public figures' get a heavy dose of reality. The money should go to people who are actually making a difference in the world. Winning a basketball title means squat. Especially when compared to those who save lives, teach our children, keep the streets safe, and research for a better tomorrow.

So no LeBron, it wasn't race, it was faith. You destroyed it for everyone in and from NE Ohio who ever believed you were different.

You're welcome. dy-no-miiite!

But seriously, if D.Rose would have done the same, I'd get over it. The game, and the franchise are bigger than one person

The Chicago Bulls don't have the same history as the Cleveland Cavaliers....Chicago sports aren't the laughing stock as is Cleveland sports...Chicago isn't constantly used as the butt of jokes....there was a lot riding on LBJ and the comparison between Rose doing the same thing to the Bulls is not the same. IMO

I'm sure he's fine. How many pre-2010 Heat fans do you think there were?
