Yeah, it was luck, but anyone else get tired of hearing it like we aren't freaking lucky as hell?
Yeah we didnt catch a break with injuries this year. But we were lucky to win the Lebron lottery, lucky he turned out to be the best player in the world, and then lucky he is from the area and Miami didn't win last year to get him back. We were lucky to get Kyrie Irving with a 2.8% odds at him and lucky that a guy who was injured his evaluation year turned out to be great. We were lucky again with a 1.7% shot to get Wiggins, who we were lucky to be able to flip for a youngish allstar that was luckily demanding to be traded because his team was historically incompetent. We were lucky that Carmelo went down and got the Knicks to turn over Smith and Shumpert for trash in order to tank. I know it doesnt follow the Cleveland misfortune line, but we have formulated what could be one of the best teams of all time all through sheer dumb luck. Realistically not much else could have gone our way that didnt.
