All Star 2016

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There were 2 of the top 5 dunks of all time in that contest.

That was the greatest dunk contest in the history of the game.

I'm sure they can think of new things. The hoverboard dunk was cool.

That was extremely creative, without being stupid, which is difficult.

But my god that dunk over the mascot under the legs.. That was possibly the best dunk I've ever seen.

Gordon is a pogo stick, a true athlete.

Levine just glides in the air when he dunks. He looks so natural up there dunking the ball. Hats off to both of these guys. Although I feel Gordon won, the fact that those two put on such a good show was enough of a victory. All star weekend needed a night like tonight. I can't remember the last time I was that entertained on a Saturday night all star weekend.

I was watching the post game presser and Gordon said the same thing. He doesn't know what he has left. But he plans on being back next year and said he has a year to prepare.

There are only so many things that are physically possible, and both of these guys are at the top of doing it all to their max capability. It will be variations of 360s, between the legs, windmills, oops, and jumping over people. They seriously did it all. I'm just waiting for the first person to get the double between the legs. I don't think it has been done in the history of the world, but I know it is possible. If somebody does that, it will never be topped.

I hate the Golden State Warriors but I can say I didn't allow that to dissuade me from being entertained.

Klay Thompson had a mental lapse in the final round with like less than 3 seconds left, he forgot about the last money ball yet he put the shot up so quickly; but with the exact same touch as his last 4 to sink it and win the game.

I thought it was cool when Bird raised his hand because he knew the last ball was going to drop, but seeing that last sequence from Thompson was ridiculous. It was machine like.

The dunk contest was definitely the best one of all time in terms of actual dunks completed. It's hard to believe that a one point difference in the judge's vote could have changed the entire outcome, and we wouldn't have gotten such a spectacular show.

That was the definition of a contest between a jumper and a leaper.

In terms of being a leaper, LaVine all day, he covers so much ground horizontally.

In terms of pure explosiveness, I have never seen anything like what I just saw from Aaron Gordon. I have seen plenty of springy people who get their head over the rim, do all kinds of great stuff but none of them have the mass of Aaron Gordon.

That dude is a genetic freak, I think he's more athletic than a prime Blake Griffin.

That was seriously the most athletic display I think I have ever seen. Even the dunk with the revolving hoverboard; the dunk itself was independently incredible, outside of the novelty factor.

Just fantastic, I'm glad I DVR'd it because holy fluff! terrible music/dancing/Kevin Hart.
NBA players fashion sense, what do we even call this new style? archaic?

Does anyone else notice on the dunks where Gordon jumps over the mascot that he pushes down on the ball at first before he takes it and it might help him propel up a little like a leapfrog? Still very sick dunks and doesn't take anything away, but I wonder if I'm the only one that notices that.

Thompson only needed 24 to win, and he had 25 before the last moneyball, so he didn't need it.. but yeah. He shot 74% for both rounds. Like a machine. It was like that 37 pt quarter... once he gets hot, it is ridiculous.

I didn't get to see it live...dealing with earthquake issues - but I just watched the dunks... holy smokes.. the off-the-mascot's head, under the legs, seated position slam was insane...as was the switching-hands-behindtheback reverse windmill... wow.

BTW, this is one of those things no one ever comments about... but Stef, Klay, Zach, Aaron.... there seems to be a new master race of mixed half black half white super athletes that are doing things never done before. I only mention it because all the winners looks so different (lighter) than the old school judges.

This isnt meant to start a racist debate.. I think it is awesome. My wife is half white, half Maori... my son is going to be one of these hybrid super athletes...

The dunk contest was great. I was sitting in front of Drummonds cousin. He said Drummond didn't prepare very well and had never practiced with Nash. He also said Lavine had a dunk where he went under one leg 2x, but maybe that was to throw off the competition.

Almost everyone thought Gordon should have won, but it was a great show. Everyone was on their feet. The under both legs dunk was just beautiful. We were losing it.

SWEET MOTHER OF GOD! WHAT A DUNK CONTEST!

Aaron Gordon got robbed IMO. All of his dunks in the final round were better than the subsequent dunks by LaVine. Still WHAT AN ALL-STAR SATURDAY NIGHT though! The skills challenge was boss and the three point shooting contest between Steph and Klay was sick.

I grew up on MJ and Nique. They weren't even close to this.

Ive been out for a few weeks post-op and watched the last 25+ dunk contests (NBA TV). None were even in the ballpark of this one.

And Gordon was flat out robbed. They aren't 50s when the other guy beats you in every dunk of the final round. The stench of predetermination was strong in this one.

Well done Allstar Saturday Night but nothing overtook my favorite moment ever

One of the best moments so far is Hart embarrassing Green in the 3 point contest. I love having that cocky mf took down a couple pegs.

Green looked silly/stupid for condescending Hart in "participating" when Hart actually beat him. It was fantastic.
