this could be potential Warrior/Cavaliers mMLE signing

Really like Dedmon as a center option. I'd be pissed if he went to Golden State.

He's been a sneaky good defender on a team that didn't want to play defense (Orlando).

I would say I'm surprised they are letting him go but the Magic GM has been drunk at the wheel for some time.

I think it is Zach Lowe who likes Dedmon. From media types, I'd trust his NBA opinion over anyone's. Well, along with yours. :chuckle:

Wow wish we would have gotten him to fill the hole at C....

I'd rather them get some slow footed guy like Zaza at Center than Dedmon, who was just cut loose by the Magic.

Any non athletic guy they get is a welcome addition for me.

Dude, the flopping will be insane.

Andy and Zaza on the same team.

What is the over under on their fine amount for the season?
Curry is a sneaky high-volume flopper too. He's just not very good at it.

yeah but he's a fine passer, smart ball player. Still like them still lacking rim protector. Gonna be an issue, esp. as Wild Thing is i backup plan

Dedmon actually had a 17 PER last season, albeit in limited minutes, 12 mpg. He looks like a decent offensive developmental center.

Yeah, they have two redundant, non rim protector slow foots at center.

I guess they can get by in the regular season but after that layup drill to the rim the Cavs had with Bogut out, I'm shocked they take a guy like Zaza with their last remaining cap space.

He's a fine role player but he literally doesn't fill any need for them other then a body at C. He's a low percentage shooting C who doesn't stretch the floor and is vertically challenged finishing at the rim. He shot 46% from the field this season as a C. That is pretty terrible.

Even worse, his paint touch FG% was 37.5%! Holy shit that is god awful. Of all NBA centers who played 15 minutes or more, he ranks second to last in that figure...ahead of Frank Kaminsky. :chuckle:

Just to show how horrendous his finishing is, only 3 Centers in the ENTIRE LEAGUE shot below 50% on their paint touches, so to get below 40% is especially awful.

Dedmon's highlight video is pretty hype.

That's really all I have to say about him. :)

Are the Cavs doing anything or are we just sitting this offseason out entirely? This is the first offseason in the team’s existence where I don’t hear us linked to a single soul.
