Chief Wahoo Discussion

She realized something I pointed out long ago- that the 'love' of Wahoo has little to do with nostalgia and more to do with beligerence on the fans oart (' Don't tell me I wrong!'). I think her comparison to the bizarre Trump support my fellow conservatives have fallen into is pretty apt. I just don't understand her follow-up point of how she can't wear Cleveland baseball stuff because a racist asshole shouted something while passing the Chief Wahoo protest at Opening Day. That seems like a wildly drawn brush to me. It is also strange to me that despite that occurrence she waited until after her first pitch to then change her mind. I would like to see the Chief retired too but I'm not going to blame the team because a minority of fans are racist. I have a feeling there would still be racist fans even if the team was named the Forest Cities for the last 100 years. I just don't get that delayed reasoning.

Why not just go all the way and rebrand to the Cleveland Liberals

They can't do this because it would alienate the fanbase- next thing you know they will be last in attendance even when being in first place!

I've got standing tickets through my friends in the organization.

Depends on how much I'm in Cleveland that summer to see them/family.
