I generally try and stay away from fast food in general, and when I go... it's the more "high end" fast foods below.
Chick-fil-A
Chipotle/Qdoba
Penn Station
5 Guys
Pizza and Chinese food
Local places (Ex: My BG people will get this... Polleye's breadsticks and Mr Spots)
My fast food hot takes:
Chicken Fries from BK is all I will ever get from there. I'm down for a McD's Big Mac and their fries like 2-3 times a year (mostly for hangovers), and their .50 cent ice cream cone is money on a hot summer day. Taco Bell... must be drunk and after 2am. Arby's is actually underrated, I just never think to go there for some reason. Subway is overpriced for being the subpar shit that it is. I ate there alot though back when they had most of their subs as $5 foot longs. Staying with the overpriced theme... I'll never eat at Wendy's because what I can spend there on a burger and fries I might as well go to 5 Guys and get a superior product. Firehouse Subs I've only been to once and for almost $20 for two subs was far from impressed... don't understand why people like them. Jimmy John's is okay every once in awhile but it's a no frills cold cut sandwich at the end of the day and they go overboard with the mayo. I can make a better cold cut sandwich at home for a fraction of the cost. BW3 used to be a go to, but their 35 cent wing day turned into 70 cent wing day... rather just go somewhere local with better quality for the same or cheaper price. Rally's is toxic. Hardee's I haven't had in years, but even if their burgers are amazing it's not worth 2 days worth of calories. KFC sucks, I'd rather pay extra for Chick-fil-A or go to Popeyes which I think is actually solid, IMO, but it isn't worth feeling like hell after eating it. White Castle is disgusting... I couldn't be around people for 2 days after eating that because the smell of the farts alone are enough to kill a person. Zaxby's was mentioned earlier and I've only had them once because there isn't one close to me, but they're pretty solid. Long John Silvers I haven't had since I was a kid, and just have no desire to go there.
Think that covers most. So, basically the theme is your average fast food really isn't all that cheap for the most part so I rather spend a few extra bucks and maybe a little more time to get something that to me, tastes better.
