Fast Food

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You live in a HUGE city, the only "authentic" burrito I am getting is from the Taco Bell/Pizza Hunt by the movie theater.

What a fantastic unintended typo. :chuckle:

Sf is not Mexican food friendly

Yet burritos seem to be very popular there.
Bandwagoners.

Burritos are cool! Even if done wrong.

Its the ""Cali" "thing to do"

1. San Francisco's Mission District invented the California style burrito.

2. In a recent national competition, S.F. had the winning burrito and 2 of the top 4.

3. San Diego has lard in the tortilla, which San Francisco health nuts outlawed for some damn reason, but I have been to San Diego and had locals point out their favorites... you stick to your excellent fish tacos and don't overreach your limits, Padre. The Mission District burrito is LEGIT.

Ehh melt made a top fifty list but I wouldn't put Cleveland ahead of Atlanta in food.

I could not find any good Mexican up there and literally a hundred percent of sders complain about the same thing

Maybe it's just different

I'll go ahead and state the obvious. I have been to San Diego. It's really cool to hate on San Francisco for ANY reason down there. It's as popular as working 20 hours a week and having a semi-pro music gig.

I like traveling abroad and saying I live in SF... but traveling on the West Coast and saying I'm from SF can be like admitting I voted for Bush.

I have lived in some smaller cities and I've always been able to score some cheap, authentic ethnic food. It might not have been worthy of a visit from Guy Fieti or anything, but it's there if you search it out. When I lived in Peoria, Illinois I had a decent Indian joint and Thai joint that cost about the same as a McDonald's double quarter pounder meal.

Why do West Coast weirdos look down on San Francisco?

I personally was not impressed by what I saw of the city.

I don't feel like there's a lot of hate down here, and a lot of bay area ppl transplant here..

But if there is a disagreement id say it's due to sf being an East coast city mentality on the west coast, and are sort of pretentious to boot.

These are generalities I came up with, gun to head. I personally just don't like the city and my favorite team is their rival

We have a much bigger problem with la people. I think everyone does

All accurate about Silicon Valley, no argument from me.

But when it carries over to never throwing the city a bone, it just becomes an eye roll for me. I know plenty of people who have transplanted to SD and more who visit for getaways. It's a nice city. Sometimes I wonder why SD, Portland, Seattle, etc. carries all the sour grapes, that's all.

But even then, I've met a shit ton of bay area people and they've practically all been great.

Just people with different focuses

Somehow this Skyline is by somewhat close to me and has flown under the radar...

Also never heard of bojangles either. I feel like I'm missing out
You're definitely missing out. It's only really in the southeast. It's basically a staple in Raleigh.

I have never had an actual burger there...always the Chicken Strip sandwich, or honey butter chicken biscuits late at night.

If I ever get "fast food" burgers in the Houston area its from Smashburger.
Mmmmm Smashburger is sooooo good. Give me red hot dry rub fries and I'm set.

Living in Phoenix, hard to hear anyone talk about good mexican food, outside someone from San Antonio or San Diego.
