Before you start thinking it, this isn't going to be a Cardale situation. The backup threw for 3,000+ yards as a freshman at Houston.
It is going to set them back but he gets a dry run against Indiana and then we'll see what he can do.
It's rare to have a guy that talented as a backup that also has experience (15+ starts).
Certainly doesn't hurt OSU but he seems like a guy who isn't completely helpless as the next guy up.
Ran all over them? Iowa ran 50 times for I think 160 yards.
I think the Iowa game was a combination of Iowa playing about as well as it could on defense and Michigan doing everything they could to blow the game.
They turned it over, dropped countless passes that would have put Iowa away and then had a really bad penalty go against them late.
Every now and then, a team loses a game they shouldn't. I'm not sure it is anything more than that.
They just aren't that good. I'm not sure how anyone can look me in the eye and say Michigan has been tested one iota. I suppose they had Wisconsin. At home. And won 14-7. That's about it. They're a better team than Iowa, more talented for sure, and "shouldn't have lost" in the same vain as OSU shouldn't have tripped up at PSU (have to wonder how good the Lions really are, lol, should be fascinating to find out). But there are those of us that have been skeptical of Michigan all season long and scoring 13 points and losing in their first road game that came against a team with even a slight pulse (and that team being an average/below average Hawkeye squad) certainly is going to raise some eyebrows.
I think there's a little more to it than you say, but we'll find out which Michigan team shows up on the 26th.
I really don't know what you gather game to game. Michigan absolutely dismantled the team that beat OSU.
Time, score, venue, etc. just varies so much game to game. Looking at a single game to justify your own views seems silly to me.
It's fine to have skepticism about Michigan's schedule but they beat #6, #9 and #12 in the current top 25.
I could care less if the games are at home or what the score was. 3 top 15 wins this late in the season is as good as anyone's resume.
I don't think Michigan is a perfect team but I think many of you are making too much out of one game.
Home/away may not matter to you, but it obviously does matter. It's not an accident Michigan looked awful in its first kind of real road game.Michigan absolutely dismantled the team that beat OSU. Fucking Indiana, man. Please let MSU somehow beat PSU.... in PSU.... FUCK!!!!! There is no way that can happen.
Still wouldn't matter. I don't see how OSU drops to #5 if they win out.Fucking Indiana, man.
Watch them go and beat Michigan now. Would align with the luck we've had in recent years.

Alabama vs Penn State Semifinal is like a bad nightmare for everyone. Even for Penn State...Washington sux, they'll get left out.
In all seriousness, PSU in the playoff would have me rolling on the floor. I'd think the committee learned its lesson with MSU, but...if PSU wins the Big Ten...they'll be in I assume...and get smashed by someone.
I think, based on the previous 2 years, it'd look like this:If, BAMA, OSU, Clemson, Louisville, PSU and UW win out, who makes the playoff?
