Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Woah. Now now, I love the Greek Freak but he still has a lot to prove. Sure he has the talent and in terms of upside he is up there with AD but until he develops a decent jumper, I won't put him in AD category.

Also, may be its just me, but if all the teams are re-drafting and I have the first pick, I still select LeBron eyes closed. Its better to win a couple now and with him you have by far the best shot at it than have a 10 odd year window of challenging where you don't even know the player you have selected can carry a team to a championship.
Ive seen so many of those "youre starting a new team who do you take" results, and its mind blowing that lebron isnt number 1 across the board.

It's only because of age. People don't realize how difficult it is to win just 1 championship. People get caught up in "he's only 21, he'll be great for 10 years, we can win multiple championships," only to not even end up winning a single championship.

If it was "draft players for just 1 year" then LeBron would go first to most everyone.

Well, of course he has a lot to prove. He's just 22. I didn't state he's the best player in the NBA. I stated if I could pick anyone, number one, I'm taking him. This isn't just for one season. Of course I'd take LeBron for one season over anyone.

Why not put him in AD territory? Didn't even say he's as good. One, AD gets hurt a lot.

Two, did LeBron have a really good jumper at 22?

Three, the point is, he's improving at a ridiculous clip. He has all the talent to be an unbelievable player. He's already the best wing player defensively IMO. LeBron at a technical standpoint is probably still better, but just can't go all out every night at his age. But the Greek's Freak's ridiculous athleticism and length disrupts others and he's still learning to play the game. He's only going to get much better, and that's pretty fucking scary.

LeBron is 32. Or going to be. The Greek Freak is 22.

If they have Middleton back and playing to his best, yes.

Otherwise, I am not worried about them. In fact, I expect us to come out all guns blazing tomorrow after the way we lost that Bucks game.

We shouldn't worry about anyone in the East. That doesn't mean a team can't come out and compete against us. The Pistons got swept, but still competed against us. Most people thought we'd roll over the Raptors. That went 6.

I don't think they'd seriously have a chance to beat us in a series. They could possibly steal a game or two. As long as we are healthy, no one has a serious chance in the East.

That's true, but one player can't win it all either. We had LeBron for 7 years, and didn't win it all.

Hypothetically, if I could have LeBron James on a ready made championship, I get the point. But even as great as LeBron is, and he might be the best ever, he's proven he cannot do it alone. He like everyone needs great talent, too.

I said we should take Giannis at #1 or Steven Adams. I stand by that in 2013

I do remember at one point where there was speculation if he should go number one.

Given what a project he was, and how impatient Gilbert was, never was going to happen.

That draft turned out to be poop, with a shining gem though.

My Jabari comparison. He's Amare Stoudemire. A face up game that gives power forwards fits on defense, an average rebounder, and a poor defender. Has more range than Amare, but less explosion. Still gonna be hard for most PFs in the league to guard him when he turns and faces them up.

Can easily see him making 5+ All Star games in his career. He's gonna score 20+ a game every year from here on out.

Yeah Cody Zeller wouldn't have been that bad in retrospect. Really tough. All the good picks went past 12

Did you really? that's fucking awesome.

I said that since Noel was out, and the top 5 looked so bad, we should take a physical freak like Giannis or Steven Adams. There was no one with a lot of physical upside in 2013 in the top 10, maybe Oladipo, but he was too old for me to think he had a high ceiling.

What are Giannis's stats outside of the paint and how do they compare to LeBron outside the paint? I'm interested and don't understand how to look these things up.

He is pretty bad outside the paint 3-10 33%, 10-16 20% ,16 < 3 .38.5% ,3P 27.4%
but inside the paint he is 73%. He gets there almost anytime he wants it seems and he is only going to get better.
Defensively, he is currently at 5.1 DRPM for a forward which is insane. Kawhi never came close to this number..
