Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Greek Freak is taking that top 10 in the NBA jump this year. A lot of it has to do with putting the ball in his hands more often, but Delly has been crucial in playing the same sets with him that he played with LBJ. Throw in an emerging Parker who looks like a cusp All Star wing... It's a formidable combination at this point.

If the Bucks has a healthy Middleton and could turn Greg Monroes salary into some kind of regular production instead of basically just eating all that money, I could easily see them growing into a real threat to be the 3rd best team in the East. A little development from the young guys and I could see them dueling with Toronto.

Giannis is the truth, but they aren't touching the Cavs until Bron is done unless Giannis ends up a top 5 player(very possible), and Middleton/Parker both become top 20-30 guys. (Unlikely...Maybe Jabari but I don't really see it).

They're fun to watch though, happy for Bucks fans. Delly is a good fit there. I don't think he's going to get much better than he was last year/this year, but he is a solid player that fits very well within that team (fits in well with any kind of talent basically, Delly is a winning role-player)

I think the Bucks are a legit threat as soon as next year fwiw.

I think that's very optimistic for Milwaukee. In terms of being a threat to the Cavs.

Injuries can obviously change anything, but LeBron is still going to be the best player on the floor, possibly still the best player in the damn league.

Even if it goes LBJ/Giannis as 1/2... Kyrie and Kev are still clearly 3/4.

I mean Delly could be Milwaukee's 3rd or 4th best player, we'll see how Middleton plays when he comes back.

I mean they're 1 whole game over .500 right now. They're going to need more than just Middleton returning to even be able to get to the Cavs (assuming they're not the 8 seed), and to be a threat , I really think Giannis would have to be in the MVP discussion and Parker would have to take a major leap that I don't think exists in his overall potential, and even then I think they still need more.

I just so not see them as a threat to a healthy Cavs team. We are there reigning champions! We have a pretty damn good shot to repeat. And I'm just not seeing any signs of LeBron not being the best player in the NBA still. He proves exactly that in June and he looks equally as explosive, quick, and strong and he hasn't even started trying yet.

It takes a LOT to jump from mediocre to "threat to the Champs". Just feel like you might be underestimating how much better we are than Milwaukee.

K.

Parker is 21, I'm not sure why you're putting a low ceiling on a guy scoring a very efficient 19+ a game. I view him very differently than you do.

Add in a healthy Middleton and yea, I think they're a threat. Soon.

EDIT: As yourself this, and be honest. If Jabari were on the Cavs would you think the same? That it's not likely that he become a top 30 player? Or would you have a slightly rosier picture?

Giannis is the closest thing to LeBron we've seen since LeBron. Same type of playstyle, same lack of a reliably consistent outside game, same requirement that their point guard be able to catch and shoot for the offense to run.

What Giannis has that LeBron didn't have until Miami, however, is complimentary two way players around him including a legitimate second scorer in parker and a reliable third option in Middleton.

If Giannis takes the leap to All-NBA that I see him taking, and Parker can become an efficient 20 point a night guy, that team is going to be at the top of the east very soon.

Yea, I dunno. I think if we were Milwaukee fans we'd be high as shit on this team.

Jabari Parker is 21, and he missed his entire rookie year. And he's still, already, a very good player. Giannis is going to be an all-star starter this year, and probably, at worst, 2nd team All NBA. He's a superstar and he just learned how to play basketball.

What position is Greek Freak playing? Lebron's point forward? if so is Parker playing sf for real, or more of a stretch 4 type player with decent all around game?

I havent watched as much of the Bucks as i want, but they might have my favorite young roster in the game (also love what Minny has going on too).

Just fun to watch a young team a few years from completely figuring it out.

I honestly think the Bucks would give us the toughest match up in the East if they make the playoffs. I don't think they are a serious threat to beat us, no one in the East is.

The Raptors are the second best team, but the Bucks would give us the toughest series. They are very athletic, very long, and they give us mismatch problems.

We play them tomorrow and I expect another tough game from them. Not looking forward to it.

If I had the number one pick in
basketball, and could take anyone. I'm taking the Greek Freak.

Woah. Now now, I love the Greek Freak but he still has a lot to prove. Sure he has the talent and in terms of upside he is up there with AD but until he develops a decent jumper, I won't put him in AD category.

Also, may be its just me, but if all the teams are re-drafting and I have the first pick, I still select LeBron eyes closed. Its better to win a couple now and with him you have by far the best shot at it than have a 10 odd year window of challenging where you don't even know the player you have selected can carry a team to a championship.

If they have Middleton back and playing to his best, yes.

Otherwise, I am not worried about them. In fact, I expect us to come out all guns blazing tomorrow after the way we lost that Bucks game.

Yeah, Giannis is playing that point forward role. He takes guys into the post a lot as well.

Parker is playing pretty much a prototypical small forward's game. He's cutting, hitting jumpers, playing the occasional iso, etc.

Delly is doing what Delly does. Setting guys up, shooting off the ball, and captaining the defense.
