So maybe Hornacek wants to start Jennings? Is that what this could be over?
Rose was listed as the starter tonight.

I've been saying this is imminent since before the season started, @ACisKING can verify. So maybe Hornacek wants to start Jennings? Is that what this could be over?

It's Isola, but...

(Patiently waits for Isola to be proven wrong).
I'd rather have Rose 10,000x more than I want Rondo. He's been fairly decent this season and can still drive-and-kick at a very good level. He also is playable against Golden State. So he's a better scorer and defender than Rondo, and frankly, almost as good of a facilitator. That should, a) tell you how far Rondo has fallen; and b) mean you want Rose more than Rondo.Hypothetical follows...
Let's say Rose is quitting on the Knicks..
So... Derrick Rose is still on his Bulls extension from ages ago. He's in the last year of his deal with a $21M salary..
Just a guess here but I'm thinking Rose has been paid for games played essentially.. I'm also thinking he's owed another $11.5M if that follows (44 games remaining)?
So, let's say he gets a buyout in the next few weeks...
Is this something we should be looking at similarly to Rondo?

With that said, I don't know how likely this is, I still think Rose is tradeable for the Knicks.
Yeah, this is all very true. One thing about Rose, while he is physically no longer a superstar, he is just as sharp mentally. He makes all the right reads and decisions during a game, the problem is, generally he does not have the athleticism to make said plays. I do believe that, given proper guidance, he can probably put together a 6MOTY season somewhere. I'd love for it to be in Cleveland but I have my doubts.Yes, very good points...
But is Rose tradeable if he doesn't want to be traded?
Knicks are lottery-bound most likely; and apparently, as you stated earlier, it seems the writings been on the wall with Rose/Jennings and if that's the direction Hornacek is going then... perhaps Rose will just say let's split the difference and I'm out.
It's interesting to think about how this might play out...
If Rose is available, then yes, I think the Cavs should make a push for him... but something tells me he has not realized yet that he's no longer a superstar. It must be tough, mentally, especially for someone his age.
If he gets released and the Cavs get him I'm willing to negotiate on my "God hates Cleveland" position.
