I'm hoping they get beat by the Rockets or Spurs so they can't even get to the finals. At that point, the finals will just be found money. As good as they are, their road if all the teams they play are healthy, will be a lot tougher than ours. We haven't begun to play our best basketball and we're the top team in the east. You can tell Golden State is playing hard because they're running up and down the floor with max effort. On a side note, the games we've lost this year have all come the same way. Being run up and down the floor and then bullied when we try to get into the paint. Once our squad decides to turn up, our measly 29-11 record will get much better. Again, we've played sub par a lot, and we're still on pace for 60 wins, hah.

LeBron has sat out 3 games this season. He probably should have sat out more. Love sat 4 and Irving sat out 5. 2 precautionary because of his knee. But mostly we've sat these guys for rest. None of the Warriors starting lineup has rested one game. They've sat because of suspensions or injuries, haha. What that tells me is our team doesn't care about every little win. If LeBron, Love and Kyrie didn't sit any games, we'd probably be 32-8, possibly better because those were winnable games. Tells me everything I need to know about both team's mentalities.

If the Cavs lose to GSW, not a huge deal. The Warriors needed one of the 3 best players in the league, ADDED to a 73 win team, to take us down. There's certainly a nice silver lining there for us.

The flip side is, what if we beat them? What if Kyrie eviscerates Curry again? What if LeBron dominates the all around game? What if we are genuinely given a chance to cause the Warriors complete implosion? I'm talking Steph opts out, Durant stays, gets buried in the avalanche to follow and LeBron cements himself as the best ever?

If you're asking me, I want that opportunity at ALL costs. I don't care if we're 10%, 20%, 30% more likely to beat someone else. We dug their grave last season. I want the chance for LeBron and co. to throw the dirt on it. At this point, we hit a homerun in our second at bat. Now we want the walk off grand slam.

Perfect time to rewatch this and remember what happened last year. Just keep poking the Lion. See what happens. Best pump up video ever IMHO.

We sucked for like 6 games straight, we lost to Utah, got blown out by Portland and barley beat the Suns and Brookyln. The way we've been playing we could've lost to any team in the NBA last night, let alone the Warriors clicking on all cylinders treating a regular season game like a game 7 lmao.

Lue thought about resting all the starters last night and ultimately made the wrong decision, league office putting some serious pressure on Lue and Cavaliers was probably the reason, should've paid the fine and rest the starters like his instincts told him to, giving those cucks confidence in a game we all knew was going to be a loss the way we've been playing lately was a mistake.

But that's all water under the bridge now, I'm more concerned about our offense and rotations getting back on track, The games we've played since Ky/Love coming back was all ISO no assists, no movement and just local gym level basketball, not to mention our defense sucks right now lol.

Agree with posters here about Frye..

I would.be worried if reports were that the cavs treating as if its just a game. But lue ripped the team after the loss, and things will only get better. VERYYY excited for korver. My goodness what a beast.

Need to play better defense and rebound. Only way we win.

Also 12 turnovers between lebron and kyrie aint helping either.

We liberally played thr worst game possible.

I think it would be more embarrassing for them if they can't even make it past their conference. They can make a ton of excuses against us, especially if our road is met with no resistance and they have a lot of close games. But if they can't make it past let's say the Clippers in the second round, that team is getting blown up regardless.

Personally, I'd rather win championships than care about rivalries. We had our W against Golden State. Our moment of pure bliss that also created 2 game 7 highlights that, until another game 7 finals, will remain at the top. Now it's about adding to LeBron's tally and growing Kyrie as a legitimate top 10 player. Also letting people realize Love is a legitimate allstar. Watching Golden State act like they're a lock for the finals only to not even sniff the WCF, my god... A championship would be icing on the cake.

Also, not guaranteeing that we face the Warriors is why I'm hoping we sign another center. We can't just assume we're going to play the Warriors, even though it's what will most likely happen.

Apparently gs was on some horrible road trip when they played us on Xmas according to rusillo. Then the kennel(?) says Lebron's flop diminishes his greatness.

LoL

Why you listen to New York radio

They hate the king for ending their team years ago

The knicks franchise belongs to the king

LoL
A 3 game road trip starting with the worst team in basketball and then the .400 Pistons

LMAO

Russillo is one of the worst of all ESPN hacks because he tries to appear objective but he is actually extremely biased.

I've gotten so used to watching all the jubilant reactions and celebrating after the victory that I've never thought to watch it from the other spectrum.

Relish the tears :chuckle:

I've got to say, this is honestly pathetic.

I was downtown Cleveland for game 7 (and games 4-6) and there were people lined up by the hundreds outside of Harry Buffalo... literally not even in the establishment because it, like every other bar downtown, was over capacity.

The entire second half every single person was on their feet screaming and ecstatic including people in the Buffalo. Chants of MVP were going on for minutes. Chants of bullshit. Literally was like being at the game.

Those fans were all sitting down. Basically their reaction was "oh, darn! Really wanted them to pull it off! But oh well!"

I was at game 6 the previous year when the Warriors won on our home court. It looked like a fucking funeral walking out of there. People looked like they just lost their dog. Those fans were like, "oh well, oh darn! Hoping for next year!"

Unless they deliberately seeked out the most tame bar in the city then the fuck is this bullshit...

I mean...it was their 3rd road game in 4 nights and it was on Christmas Day...the Cavs on the other hand played Brooklyn at home on the 23rd in a pseudo night off. As for this game, both teams hadn't played in 3 days.

I'm hearing too much talk about is this a rivalry..news flash everyone including Cavs players..no matter why you're denying it..it is a rivalry..and it's a good one..can't stand Clayface and his bunch of Doom players..
Not only is it a rivalry, it’s probably the best rivalry in all of pro sports right now.
