So... Butler finished fifth, yet ranked third overall when factoring in the player and media vote?

Sounds like Love got robbed, and completely undervalued by the players and media.

Not sure I'm okay with the secret balloting in the ASG voting this year...

I'm fine with Giannis... My problem is that Butler's team is a game below .500 and there is, today, a report about him being on the trading block this month. Bulls are mulling a complete rebuild.

I'm not sure how Butler's performance, which has been great, so much better than Kevin Love's who is on the best team in the East and playing some of the best basketball of his career.

Personally, I can't help but to think the players and media shitted on Kevin Love for non-basketball reasons.. Either still floating the notion that he's soft; or completely under-appreciating what he does for this team.

I'm good with the players and media getting a vote. My issue is with the votes being secret. Gotta be transparent about that stuff, ala MVP voting.

He had a million votes. He'd have to have come in pretty low among the guards with respect to players and media.. From what I've read, media didn't vote for Isaiah Thomas.. I gotta think, and this is pure speculation, that the players voted for Irving sufficiently for him to start simply because of who they felt was more dangerous 1v1...

Agreed... ASG appearances, starting, etc, is important with respect to image, brand, and financial earnings.
