Love is having a career season himself.

He's being punished because he plays alongside LeBron and Kyrie...

Disgraceful he's not starting. Butler's team is bad.... I'm sorry. I am okay with Giannis.

Why are we rewarding losing so much? His team has some talent. The East is God awful, and he can't even get that squad to .500?

Butler is great player, but I'm sorry, that's not deserving of being a starting all-star IMO.

What you said is absolutely true. But look at their stats, even if slightly, their numbers are a bit better

Their numbers are definitely better, I agree.

My only argument is that both Irving and Love's numbers would be substantially higher if they weren't playing an entire regular season alongside such a dominant player in LeBron James.

And he's white.

:party smiley 004:

I know you're joking but..

I mean.... I'm not going to argue there isn't some implicit bias on the part of some players, but, that was almost certainly outweighed (in the weighted average) by the majority's implicit bias in the fan vote.

Had he stayed in MIN he would be averaging a 30 point double double

People were debating starters today...and I had an epiphany.

Down the road, nobody remembers, or cares, who starts in the ASG.

The only thing people remember is who was in the game.

There is no such accolade as "starts in the ASG."

The only accolade there is is "ASG appearances" (and ASG MVP).

So, why are people so obsessed with debating the starters? I've been guilty of this too before today. But I longer care.

Butler was a guard on the ballot last time I checked. He shouldn't be competing for a spot with Love.

Top 5 of player votes:
1. James
2. Antetokounmpo
3. Butler
4. George
5. Porzingis

He was in the front court portion of the ballot. He plays the majority of his minutes at SF since Wade joined the Bulls.

They showed the top 5 in votes for the players and media on TNT just now Love was like 4th in the media vote and not listed for the players.

Well, now we know why Butler made it over Love. His player vote must've been so low as to drive his weighted average below Butler's.

The Cavs just posted up James Jones when Phoenix switched off a 2-4 pick and roll (and he hit it!). I get that you want to run your sets and not change the offense but wow.
