Trade Rumor(s)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was on the Wade bandwagon for years... But I think Melo might actually be the better option for us.. I think Wade has a year left and he's fucking done.

I could see Melo having another 2-3 years left, especially if he was running as a 4th option rather than a 1st option...

I'm not sure if he's ready for that at this stage in his career though.. But if he has any hope of winning a championship in his lifetime, then he'll need to forget about being The Man and getting a ring..

Speaking of super-friends.. BTW, did you see that report about the Bulls and Chris Bosh? LOL..
Yeah Wade's health would always scare me but I'd play him the bare minimum of what you could reasonably play him. We have 16 back to backs this year. That's 16 automatic no ways. I'd schedule a banana boat vacation of at least 2 weeks for Wade and James in the middle of the season

Basically I'd just try like hell to conserve him for the playoffs. Because Wade and LeBron's chemistry is on a completely different level. Melo and LBJ is still a mystery. I think that's why I'd be more inclined to go for Wade. Plus Wade's a certified baller

But I mean if all we're giving up is Shump, a 36 year old, and a guy who's borderline unplayable against our Finals opponent for a guy who can guard Durant and run an offense then is obviously take Melo in a second

Re: Bosh, I saw that. So FUcking random of all teams to be Chicago. Like are you guys really going to risk a dudes life over getting a 5 seed over an 8 seed? Chicago needs to just start rebuilding. Their Frankenstein team they scraped together works just as poorly as everyone thought it would

I'd risk Bosh's life if he's going to put up 20/10, play defense, and work for the vet min?

Yea.. lol.. I'd definitely risk a Bosh for that..

1) Pull off the trade for Melo
2) Bulls dump Butler, Wade declines his PO and signs here for the MLE

Super Friend Team (minus CP3) complete.

Kyrie
Wade/JR
Melo/Korver
LeBron
Love/TT

Ugh. Windy was on ESPN radio yesterday morning. He said Cleveland had their eyes on PJ Tucker, thinks Phoenix wanted a first rounder for him, and the FO essentially chose Korver over him by making that trade.

I like Korver but what the hell. The point of getting Tucker would've been to guard KD or Draymond. Is Korver expected to do that...?
Bingo.

I wouldn't give up a 1st round pick for PJ Tucker. Korver has been a far better player than Tucker for the whole of their careers, and is still a better player.

He's not worth that, and I don't think they're going to get that from anyone.

And I like Tucker and would like to find a way to get Tucker. But if a 1st rounder is what they're asking for what is otherwise an extremely average bench player...I'll pass.

So I ask again, is Korver expected to guard KD/Draymond then? If not, then who? Does it matter if LeBron gets his spacing from Korver but has to come right back on defense to guard KD/Draymond the entire game?

Regarding Melo, I don't think Melo would leave this season.

I think he will see off this season and then decide it in off-season.

Will we go for him?

I don't think so. But I won't completely rule it out.

A lot of it depends on how Love plays in the NBA Finals against the Warriors. I love Kev but, the Warriors are kinda a bad match-up for him. If he doesn't have a good series against them again in the NBA Finals, that will be the second consecutive season he would have a bad series against them. So, if that happens, I think Griff and co would decide to part ways with Kev. Thats where Melo comes in.

I know everyone would rather just dump Shump and some others but why would Knicks accent an offer like that? Long term wise and also in terms of performances this season, Love has been better than Melo but our title window is for the next 3-4 years when LeBron will still amongst the best players in the league. We would look to cash in on that and maximize as much as possible.

BTW, I am not saying we should trade Love now or anything like that. I still believe in him. He is our x-factor against the Warriors. If he has a good series and dominates, we are re-peating. I still have confidence in both of those things happening. But, IF, we Kev doesn't have a good series against the Warriors again, I think the Melo - Love trade is something which I can see happening!

Regarding Tucker vs Korver, I think we made the right decision.

Once Korver settles and we integrate him to our offense, we can be truly unstoppable on the offensive end. We are worrying about Warriors about who will guard KD and all. And, they are great points. But once Korver settles and JR comes back, how the fuck do the Warriors stop us?

Kyrie - Korver - JR - LeBron - Love/TT.

Thats insane shooting and scoring which would be a nightmare to defend against.

Obviously, Tucker is a better defender than Korver and would have helped us against the Warriors as he could have guarded KD but I think you can get guys like him, who are hustle players and play a physical game compared to someone like Korver who is one of a kind player. Someone who brings in a completely different dimension and variety to our already-loaded offense.

Korver expected to guard Klay or Livy for the 2nd unit. Shump, Bron and RJ will be on KD.

They scored 70+ points in the first half, I'm more worried about stopping them.

Yeah I worry the same thing that happend with Frye will happen to Korver in a playoff series. You need two way guys against them so you can concentrate on helping on guy at most (i.e. like they did Irving last game) and on other end a guy you can't leave alone (Korver sort of fits this bill but definitely not number one and you can't iso him)

Here's the thing, I really don't think PJ Tucker is slowing down Kevin Durant, you know? Better overall team defense and effort, but I don't think Tucker is going to be the Kevin Durant stopper.
Haven't looked at tucker enough, but I don't see korver solving any problems.

He's a good pick up in a vacuum.

I don't know what answer you guys want. THey've put together a basically unarguardable team. Beating them is going to be a tall order. So, yea, LeBron is going to have to both dominate on offense and guard Durant on defense. And that's just to have a chance. There's no magical trade that is going to fix the problem that has been created by Durant joining them. Sorry.

Like, you guys want to add someone that can "guard" Durant. Well, Kawhi Leonard, the best wing defender in the league, got absolutely shredded head to toe by Durant last season. So, sorry, PJ Tucker probably wouldn't make all that much of a difference in that regard.
