Trade Rumor(s)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Apparently Nurkic is on the block. I would love to do a trade with Denver right about now. I think Shump for Jameer Nelson, Jamal Murray and Jusuf Nurkic would solve a few problems. Okay, suuuuper unrealistic unless they need to get rid of a contract.

Don't think about it Cavs.

I mean.. we have nothing to trade for Melo...

Sigh...

Alright here's a trade:

The only reason this works is because Melo has a no-trade clause, so he gets to dictate his destination of choice; and it's effectively better than a buyout for both the Knicks and Carmelo.

He keeps his bloated contract, they get rid of him and move on with Porzingis. Rose is 100% gone in the offseason, and they have Ricky Rubio and Muhammad to roll with...

For the Cavs, we lose Shump/Frye, but gain Melo...

It's comical, but, that's the best I could come up with...

Right, Melo has all the leverage here. Don't forget the report last week that he'd only waive his NTC to go to Cleveland or the Clippers. If that report is true, and they decide they really want to hit the rebuild button, anything is possible.

You and me have a bad history of Safaris bro... Remember Joe Johnson?

Sigh... the next report of Melo wanting out.. it's going to be Safari Time.. :chuckle:

Besides, Rubio, Muhammad and a pick isn't a bad haul for a guy who you can't trade.

:chuckle:

Fucking Iso Joe, man...

Nothing quite like coming off the bench for the Jazz :chuckle:

He got that 11 million per though :chuckle:

We could even do the deal straight up if they wanted to. Shump, Cedi, fillers, pick...

It's obviously a reach but if the Knicks want to start over with Porzingis (they should), and Melo has 2+ years left on his deal with a NTC and only will go to two teams, the Knicks don't exactly have many options...

:chuckle: Yea he did!

So much for playing time...

Right.. it's either ride it out for the next 2.5 seasons with Melo, or try to move him while he still has some value even if it means taking back little of value.

Melo damn sure won't accept anything less than what he's owed; and the Knicks have absolutely no means of moving on without his consent.

Cavs or Clippers, and I'm fine with either so long as we're not giving up a core piece.

He should get a buyout like Josh Smith, sign here for the vet min and than we can trade his ass for some good players :chuckle:

Of course we get the worst super friend as our only semi realistic alliance

It'd be like wrapping Shump/Frye/RJ up into a tight ball and fusing them together... Out comes Melo. Old and decent.. :chuckle:
I'd do it. Don't get me wrong

But of all the damn super friends

Give me Dwayne Wade or give me death

I was on the Wade bandwagon for years... But I think Melo might actually be the better option for us.. I think Wade has a year left and he's fucking done.

I could see Melo having another 2-3 years left, especially if he was running as a 4th option rather than a 1st option...

I'm not sure if he's ready for that at this stage in his career though.. But if he has any hope of winning a championship in his lifetime, then he'll need to forget about being The Man and getting a ring..

Speaking of super-friends.. BTW, did you see that report about the Bulls and Chris Bosh? LOL..
