Game #42 -|- Cavaliers vs. Spurs -|- Jan. 21st, 2017 @ 8:30 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don’t think “wake up calls” have anything to do with it. “Wake up calls” don’t fix flawed defensive schemes, an incomplete roster, perplexing rotations, Kevin Love being rusty/injured and JR out until March probably.
I mean, that is the only thing that can minus the injuries. It makes us focus on correcting our weaknesses when our weaknesses are exposed. Otherwise, we are just coasting through the season with no focus because we think we can turn it on whenever we want to. It is about that part in the season where we need to buckle down. We usually respond pretty well to losing though and get better after All Star break. But the rest is excuses. Some of it is easily correctable, it just comes down to focus and discipline. And common sense.

Yeah that's clearly the best approach to trying to win a title, just hoping Lebron is able to play BOAT level on both offense and defense to beat a GOAT talent team. It worked last year (against a less talented version), no reason it shouldn't work for many more.

Nice suggestions there. Should be forwarded to Lue and Griff.

I'm calling a spade a spade LBJ is aging finally. His competition at his position is becoming a factor to where I don't believe he would dominate them like we're used to. This will be a problem in the finals not so much the playoffs. The three players that I believe he has trouble with that can match his athleticism now is KD, Giannis, and Kawhi. We could only see two of them in our championship run which is a blessing ha.
Well let bounce back on Monday go Cavs!

Man, I like Kevin Love. I'm not sure he's a good enough third wheel to beat this version of Golden State. Sigh. Kevin Durant man....

Don't think we'll get 20-10 from him when it matters, but he HAS to make those easy shots. Not even talking about the last one, but the countless wide-open ones he missed.

Well I'm glad Griffin at least has showed that he doesn't think that's the best approach. Might give the Cavs a chance.

I can remember Love hitting ONE important shot as a Cav and he's taken plenty in the clutch. Don't blame it on his back. This is the usual with him.

Then why are you still here commenting if you don't think the Cavs can win? Go away then.
I still believe the Cavs can win as well.
However, we need a wing defender in the worst way. LeBron can only defend in key moments.

We didn't have to deal with that the last two years against Golden State. He could rest up guarding Barnes and we wouldn't pay for it as much.

This LeBron is aging thing has been going on since the 2014-2015 season and last year he led both teams in all categories in the Finals. So nah.

I mean, there are SO many great defensive lineups we could run RIGHT NOW if LBJ played the 4.

But, we save those for the playoffs.

And I'm fine with that.
