Game #42 -|- Cavaliers vs. Spurs -|- Jan. 21st, 2017 @ 8:30 PM EST

What the hell are you talking about? The final shot wasn't the problem. He had a damn good look at.

He fukked up in over time by just watching Kyrie go 1 on 5 instead of trying to score as well.

That was not a very good look for coming out of a time-out with that much time.

There was obvious confusion on the play between LeBron and Kyrie. Took FOREVER to get into the action.

How is a contested three over Kawhi Leonard a "good look"? Sorry. Not buying it.

LeBron shut Kawhi down late and hit a huge 30 footer, and I think because of that he decided "I'm taking the game-winner".

If it was the finals I think Kyrie definitely takes the last shot.

I mean, there are SO many great defensive lineups we could run RIGHT NOW if LBJ played the 4.

But, we save those for the playoffs.
I get there's other lineups but Jefferson looks all, but finished.
Shump isn't strong enough for Leonard and he's too small for KD.

I guess you could play JR on Leonard if we play the Spurs. However, I still have not clue how we're going to guard KD. That Heat teams was fortunate to have Shane Battier as well.

Thats the kind of guy we need.

So its a better shot if Kyrie would have taken a contested jumper? Cause thats exactly what it would have been. He's a better shooter obviously. However, in terms of facing a Greg Pop defense. LeBron got space and squared up nicely for a decent shot. People are just complaining about it cause it didn't go in.

I still believe the Cavs can win as well.
However, we need a wing defender in the worst way. LeBron can only defend in key moments.

We didn't have to deal with that the last two years against Golden State. He could rest up guarding Barnes and we wouldn't pay for it as much.
LeBron mostly guarded Draymond when we turned that series around, and no he couldn't rest. However, LeBron will be expected to do even more on that end if his assignment is KD.

This LeBron is aging thing has been going on since the 2014-2015 season and last year he lead both teams in all categories in the Finals. So nah.
I understand that I've been around before that he's been aging since 2013 in Miami. What I'm saying is the top competition at his position is becoming more prevalent to where I don't think we as fans can pencil it in as a LBJ match up advantage in our favor is all I'm getting at. Kinda makes you appreciate the point guards in today's game that has comparative competition every night mostly.

Well I'm glad Griffin at least has showed that he doesn't think that's the best approach. Might give the Cavs a chance.

What? I see the opposite.

The front office has surrounded LeBron and Kyrie with more offense, shooting, and small ballers to space the floor. LeBron and Griff now both want another play-maker. Offense, offense, offense. By now it's becoming clear the organization believes out-scoring or trading baskets with Golden State with LeBron and Kyrie GOATing again is the game-plan.

Spurs Cavs would be an epic finals...

True. However, guarding Barnes earlier in the series allowed for him to be fresher later in the series.

Crazy as it sounds I think I have more faith in Tristan guarding KD or Leonard more than Jefferson right now.

We might need to just let Jefferson rest more throughout the season. He's going to need to find whatever energy can he find for the playoffs.

Tell me how this is a bad shot shot again? Green is clearly off balance and James gets a great look at the rim. This wasn't LeBron vs. Iggy in the 2015 finals. This is as good of a look you can get. He just didn't make it.

We're going to have to agree to disagree. LeBron stepping back and falling to his left from 22 feet?

Go look up the specific numbers in Synergy for that shot versus an 18-footer from Kyrie.

And you don't even have to narrow it down to "crunch time situations" because then the numbers skew even worse.

It wasn't TERRIBLE. Okay? But it was SUB-OPTIMAL. But like I said, let's agree to disagree.

Eh, people that want Griffin to do something never have an answer as to what or how. We all see the same holes, now how exactly do they fix them? Just no ducking counter to Kevin Durant doing what he did

TT & Kyrie fucked the play up, not Lebron. That's why they were both silent when he was barking at them.

I think it was the wrong call regardless of what happened on the play.
