Yes, the Jae Crowder trade again :/ Throw in Brooklyn's pick and then in the offseason look to package the pick for Paul George or Jiminy Crickets Butler and move Crowder to the bench if we can do it without including him in the package. Re-sign Serge in the off season. Orlando probably has to be tossed a pick or something. Too bad we gave up a pick for Korver.

Get significantly worse so they can get better next year? no thanks the time to win is now.

1. I dont think Boston is trading any of Brooklyns picks for Love. Especially not if they have to give Crowder too. I think they'd want to keep Crowder to try and compete. Hes like their 2nd or 3rd best player most nights.

2. I really am not as big on Ibaka as a lot of people.I'd pass on replacing love with him. Then we'd have Frye as our only big that we can trust with a shot? If we could get Serge without trading Kevin, then I;d be way more interested.
His potential age concerns me too..

He is still shooting 38% on 4 3PA per game. Not like he's Shaq on the perimeter. I'm sure his 3pt % would get a nice boost playing with James and Irving. He's lost a step on D, but he's still probably better than Love. It'd be a major gamble bringing in Melo and Ibaka, but if it worked out it'd make the Cavs one hell of a team to try and deal with.

Windy was on 850 am was saying these Melo and Cavs rumors are coming from the Knicks because not only are the Cavs one of only three teams Melo will allow a trade, Love is BY FAR the best return potentially out there.

The Cavs know this, and like myself, Melo for Love doesn't move he Meyer much for anyone. There are several reports out today the Cavs are trying to acquire Melo am Keep Love, but good luck with that.

The one thing Windy mentioned though that was sort of intriguing was that since the Cavs hold the leverage here, the Knicks would have to include a first round pick for any value to match in trade.

Do let me ask you all a ridiculous hypothetical. Let's say the Knicks gave up Melo am a 1st for Love. Then the Cavs contact the Bulls and discover they are in fact interested in unloading a very disgruntled and unhappy Wafe who many feel is close to asking out anyways... Hes simply not a fit with the same ball dominant Jimmy playing the same position. Wade make 23,200,000 this year. 125% needing to go out to make that work from the Cavs would be roughly $18,560,000. The Cavs could flip a combination of Korver (5mill) Jr (12.8) Shump (9.6) an or Frye (7.8) to meet 18.5.

After moving Love, Frye needs to stay for roster balance. So let me ask you this... If Love and a combination of Korver/JR or JR/Shump and a 1st round pick via the Knicks netted both Melo and Wade, would you do it? I know someone pretty important on tho roster who would!

PG: Kyrie/Chalmers/Felder
SG: Wade/Korver/Liggins
SF: Melo/Jefferson/Stephenson
PF: James/Frye/Jones
C: Thompson/ FA

Guys... This is beyond hypothetical. Just asking if you'd do something Lebron would in an instant, and theoretically could work $ wise. Would make Cavs old as dirt, but would supply plenty of large contracts to move to get younger once their window closed.

Can't see us trading for Wade at all. Salaries are too hard to match.

Maybe we can get him if something crazy happens with Butler and Wade decides to force a buyout.

I do think Wade will come here next year though. Think he opts out and just decides to ring chase for 1-2 more years.

Like I said... Wade would need 18.6 in outgoing salary to work. We have pieces to equal that, and combined with a 1st round pick it might be e ticking enough for the Bulls to look at. Again I'm not saying any of this is probable, but is theoretically possible. Also Wade signed a multi year deal close to 60 million I believe, 50 at least. He's not going anywhere unless it's a trade. Jimmy Butler and him are not a fit together, it's that simple.

My point in my post is I agree with Windy, Melo for Love doesn't do e Pugh for me even if we got a first out of it. But... If we were able to flip the 1st and acquire Wade andMelo, now I'm listening. The match is only there considering our two best salary pieces to move in Shump and JR both play the same position as Wade, and we just acquired Korver. So In the end we'd be swapping out:

JR for Korver
Shumpert for Wade
Love for Melo

Sorry for all the grammar errors... Trying to type on a mall bench with my phone as my wife and daughter shop lol.

I love Wade and pimp him out every time he's available but I think these swaps make the team considerably worse as a whole

Another recent article backing up people's claims Chris Bosh wants to return to play.

Pretty much a dick move for the Hear to wait after March 1 in order to keep him from playing in the postseason. If they are certain enough to write him off medically, what does this strategy say? Doesn't quite fall in line with their confidence he's done playing to collect his insurance if they are making lateral moves to prevent him playing in a postseason the same season!

I thought I also read a out a month ago the NBA players union would never allow Miami to leverage a player like such when it completely is done to fulfill their self interests and is an obvious, intentional detriment to the player? I bet he files some sort of injunction Feb 11th, the day Miami can cut Bosh and then apply for insurance reimbursement.. That would give Bosh and an interested team like say the Cavs approximately 17 days to clear his way to a postseason eligibility, as well as the time to have the team doctors clear Bosh and make room for his roster spot.

If I'm the Cavs, I'm signing Bosh regardless of his postseason eligibility if he's cleared. He would be the perfect 20-25 min stretch 4, small ball 5 sub this team needs off the bench to fill out their roster. Hate to say it but would help make a Love for Melo deal make more sense also if it all came to fruition.

As long as he doesn't die on the floor... Which is a decent possibility when dealing with blood clots.

The concern pertaining to blood clots, I'd read some article about Bosh where he was wanting to manage it how some other previous player did. Like, he'd take anti-coagulants most days to fight off the clots, then prior to a game, do something to de-power the coagulants (Vitamin K blast maybe?) so during game time he'd not be at the risk of bleeding out.

There were some issues w/ back to back's and that plan, but what's the real risk of playing with a theraputic INR? Bleed outs in the event of a compound fracture?

**EDIT**

Do NBA players really take more contact than NHL players?

I have no interest in a Carmelo for Love straight up trade. If picks and or players or another team is involved to bring in another player than it may be more interesting. I'm not sure what the deal would be but I don't think Wade is the answer. If you consider the move than I think the pick/player(s) that you get in return need to bring some youth to the team and or size if we're losing Kevin.
