LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Carmelo is a better jump shooter, and always has been.

Well yes. I just was talking about scoring as a facet in general, not every particular skill. Melo definitely has some skills that he is better at than LeBron - he has a better jab step, better footwork, a better ability to hit contested mid range shots, a better jump shot (though some years, LBJ has outshot him), and is a much better free throw shooter. But even with all that, LBJ is hands down a better and more consistent scorer. And LBJ just impacts the game in so many other ways. He's like Jason Kidd in that he can win a game without really scoring, except that he can also score with the best of them.

But at least for me, even though I watch a lot of Cavs games, it's often easy to overlook just how good LBJ is overall. It's when I find myself rooting against LBJ that it really dawns on me just how multi-faceted and dominant he really is. He's just so much better than Melo, who is well on his way to the Hall of Fame in his own right.

What's truly incredible with this lineup is who is playing with James: guys who are retirement age, a castoff who has never been an impact player, a defensively limited big who can shoot threes, yet look at what they're doing offensively and defensively. Replace James with anyone and good luck even breaking even.

It is what truly separates the mega elites from the regular stars. You need 2-3 guys paying attention to him at all times and he is able to know where his 4 teammates are on the floor when they commit too much to stop him. He makes the stats of all of the players around him better even if he isn't the one with the assist because his presence allows guys to always be open somewhere.

What's funny, and perhaps so devestating, is that this is both a "jumbo lineup" and "small ball" lineup at the same time, especially if William can stay at 36%+ from 3P

I love this and adding DWill2 will help so much and make team deadly. It is so cool he is basically saying if you want to claim me F you because I am going to the Cavs. We do not even J.R who is huge and Love has been gone and Dwill1 (we got him first hence the numbers) Is making big plays and like you said shoots from the three. We will add DWill2 and maybe Bogut and I see if all players pick it up. This team is better than last years by far healthy. Our bench now is already night and day. GS might not have the depth to beat our team assuming they make it back baring injuries ect. Plus LeBron makes everyone better, To have DWill2 to take some of that play making burden off him will be huge.

I think LeBrons drive to win and his mental approach has been huge. He has helped turn Kyrie into a complete player and got Love to buy into a system he hated. LeBron helped changed Smith into a champion and he also had faith in guys while getting into their face like never before. LeBron maybe in the history of the NBA has one of the best IQs ever and at his size that is a thing of beauty. James Jones and why he is so loved is because he is LeBrons other side and the guy who keeps the players calm and sensible. I am shocked at his age it is like he is only 28 out there with the mind of a 40 year old soon to be coach.

I just thought about it earlier today.. I think Lebrons Mental Aproach, BBIQ, Leadership all the "In between the ears" Stuff is really criminally underrated by many.
In that sense i really am glad he left for Miami because he really learned what it takes. He also after 2011 learned that even on a Team with Wade he is desperatly needed to play like the best Player.

Then in 2015 he learned to be the Leader. And in 2016 and this year we see a Lebron that not only is a great leader but also Plays the Game the Smart way.
He paces himself most of the time in the RS (Crazy considering he is putting up 26/8/9 on 54/39 ..) and controlls the Game on so many levels like no Player before him.

He still can drop 35-40 if needed anytime.. But with all those Shooters around him he is even deadlier if he has 20 Points and 10+ Assists.

If we really get Deron and one of Bogut or Sanders.. then get Love and JR back... We can win Big Playoff Games with Lebron becoming Magic 2.0 averaging something like 22/8/11 ..wich i am sure he would absolutly Love..
