Josh Gordon discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Think Sashi's take on this is right on point.

You have to trust Jackson and staff to evaluate his mental, see if he's right. If he is, you give him a chance to prove himself here.

Gordon/Coleman is a dynamic combination that can help develop a QB.

In all the days I saw him at training camp last year he was in Al Saunders pocket.

He's a piece of shit or is it just that he has/had a problem with addiction?
Lol, sure. Josh is such a troubled individual. Hope he gets the help he needs:jerkoff:

We probably aren't going to agree on this. Josh is just a fuck up in my eyes. I'm not going to shed a single crocodile tear about his weed addiction. He can fuck out of here with that nonsense

I'm about as unsympathetic as you can get on Josh costing himself likely over 80 million dollars. I'm sure everyone could already tell

Got suspended for weed once. Sizzurp once. Alcohol once. That doesn't sound like a weed addiction. You don't have to feel sorry for him though. That's cool and most people don't. But it sounds like your cheering for him to fail at life which is weird because if he wasn't a football player would you care either way?

Would you care either way if he wasn't a football player?

At this point yeah I do hope he flames out. After 3 years of dicking over the Browns I don't want him rewarded with a huge contract here or anywhere. I'm certainly a hater.

But Manziel and Gordon really brought out the inner pitchfork in me. Can't stand either of them.

And he was suspended/kicked off teams in college as well as the pros. He has had about 10,000 chances. But I'm sure this time will be different

Exactly. And he IS a football player on a team we ostensibly root for so exactly what are we doing here? I mean, the most anger I can come up with for this guy and his piddly little offenses is to say, "Come on man, don't be such a doofus." His biggest crime in my book is knocking up that girl and not standing for it. And no one says anything about that.

It costs NOTHING to give this guy a chance. People talk about low risk, high reward. If there is a more clear cut case of that, I'd like to know.

Would you care either way if he wasn't a football player?

Yes. The same way I would if I came across anyone who has an addiction problem. I would cheer for their downfall. If you don't care it's cool but why cheer for them to fail. Don't see how that would benefit you.

Angry posters on a message board

No but really I get we don't really lose out, I originally read it as low risk of fucking up again.

Also it's not like he's prevented the team from getting other WR's. I don't think he's been a distraction really because when he's not playing he's not around the team. The risk is low and the reward can be all time great still.

Not sure how people see this as a negative.

1) If he stays and turns it around, you have a perennial All-Pro. Costs less than a mil if I am correct.

2) Cut or trade him. He then could potentially blow up and make us look like an even shittier situation.

3) He fails another test. Goes down in a blaze of glory, and is never to be heard from again in the NFL.

There is zero incentive to do anything but keep him.

I personally view the odds that Gordon plays for 2 consecutive years without any suspenses as less than 2% so to me it's kind of just like why bother.

I think the odds that we trade him and he dominates the league elsewhere is just Browns fans assuming everything bad always happens to us.

Genuinely don't believe Gordon has a chance of making it 2 years without getting suspended again.
